  • I heard that lexus uses its active cruise control and lane monitoring system together to create an almost driverless LS460L. Downside is that you need to steer around turns and curbs.

  • The Japanese and Indians are at least 4 yrs ahead. VW developed a more simple system 3 yrs ago amd Mercedes/Toyota has developed the road condition recognition software since 04-05. This technology for car use is atleast 10-15yrs away due to current road conditions around the US.

  • The point of this vehicle is that it is adaptable to any driving situation, including road hazards and conditions. It doesn't need pre-implemented signals in the road. Everything is handled on-board the vehicle automatically.

  • It was amazing just seeing the driver sit back and relax as that thing manuvers. This would be incredibly helpful if your drunk and cant find a sober driver, or if you feel tired while driving so you can lay down and relax.
