I have a 4.9 blade, weight around 84kgs, you should be find on that, it is a beast in strong winds so I wouldnt just buy that if you are only buying a single kite, but you'll pull off some great air time with a blade. otherwise a 4 metre blade should be good to get used to the power of bigger kites, for jumping its blades all the way but they are not that great for boarding

Hmmm, this explains why you should launch at an angle to the wind rather than into the power zone. Blades certainly have some lift. I recommend a 3m Peter Lynn Hornet to anyone looking to start out.

Your flying on what looks like 25m lines. You land about the same if anything closer than where the kite started. I work that out to be about 25m maybe 30m max.You will get much further doing the pendulum jumps.

You can get Flexifoil Blade IVs quite cheap on ebay.

Blade IV 4m usually sell 2nd hand at about £220 ready to fly but brand new they usually cost around £240-£260.

I got Blade IV 8.5 Midnight colours when I first flew it I never have been closer to God its an absolute beast.

well it depends on which type of kite u have and the wind speed.

my kite is a flexifoil blade 4, 4meter.

it can be agusted to give a lot of lift or very little.

and as u can probly gess it was on the high lift settin lol

n i dono hw u realy jump it just gettin used 2 ur kite n knowing when it wont 2 lift u

To jump on a kite & keep in control, its calle a pendiulum. As you direct the kite to 2 o'clock, run backwards in a 45 degree angle in the same way & direct the kite to the 2 or 3 o'clock all depends on how big your balls are. when kite gets to the other side redirect the kite back to 2 & you shouls havee lift & float.
