A fair comment Thoyo! I Have heard both myself and after your comment, some google research tells me it is Estranha forma de vida (with the double translated meaning of: Strange life form and Strange way to live). But it would not be the first time that the name of a fado song gets replaced by and thru popular use.

We portuguese see this fado as a description of Amalia Rodrigues's life, so this perhaps means that instead of seeing her as a "strange life form" or a "strange way to live life" we see her as an "Independent Heart".
