I personally am glad for this function. I LOOOOVE to get randomly flash banged as I'm driving because it reminds me of the days when I play counter-strike. It also gives my eyes a good exercise for refocusing while my car is pulling up to the rear end of another car... that's stopped on the road.

Why didnt the "Reporter" point out thats its FRAUD and Uncontitutional. It has nothing to do with safety, the whole purpose it to produce revenue for the city. I know most people are catching on with more and more waking up to all this BS but you really need to catch up with the fraud happening at lightning speed by upper management.
Actually I did check the officers response .... the system monitors your speed and if it determines you are going to fast to stop in time it snaps you pic ... I drive past that intersection twice a day and I get my pic taken everyday and to date I have not received a red light ticket in the mail. I only get a minute thirty seconds to tell you a story ... if I found out the information the officer told me was incorrect I would have jumped at the chance to report that!

There have been cases where a camera is installed for the purpose of raising revenue. In some cases they will install the camera and also turn down the length of the yellow light from 4.0 to 3.0 seconds. This is dangerous, and it pisses me off.
