  • temazo tengo el viniloy para mi gusto se escucha mejor que el compac disc, saludos desde tierra azteca.

  • TENGO EL VINILO Y TODAVÌA SUENA. LE HE DADO DURO.

  • i think that women are only interested in money it seems to be be the security of their soul.if they get from a relationship or they get by being the CEO of some corporation.the bottom line is security in monitary.so-show some skin and then deny the contact.what an age old game.the human waltz.just an observation.i hope i'm wrong.

  • @nomiclas Perhaps in some women & especially in younger ones these days. I for one have never fallen into that category but then I am strong willed, independent, individual with a kind heart & a spiritual attitude about Life. Perhaps you need to be less cynical of women in general & learn to be a little more selective in the types your looking at & interacting with...?

  • @CroneGrimalkin you have to know what some have gone through before you can formulate an opinion.the basic concept is always biology and procreation.the rest is window dressing.i love everyone in the human race as long as they have the guts to say who they are.you're a good case in point.you state your beliefs and are suggestive for a resolution to my situation.it only sounds constructive.my door is always wide open and you are more than welcome to come in.

  • This the first album i bought when i was a kid...loved it then and i love it now...john kay and steppenwolf is the still the shit....and by the way i still have this original album with no scratches....

  • @badbrad19574 hey i've got the the mint LP and my question is---------what do you think of the car?

  • @nomiclas I like girls. Lamar

  • @emeraldfrog1 you sound young,it takes some experience to develope the feelings a lot of men have about the way women treat them.to prevent this, find a kind spirit in a lady and make sure you can be the best of friends.the only person you'll spend more time with is yourself.

  • @nomiclas

I've 4 sisters. I love this song. I'm with you. I love women. I'm not young. I said I "liked girls." I meant that I like women, you know the grown up ones... LoL! I'd neve mistreat another person, male OR female! Lamar

  • 't clipje bij de compositie maakt 'n sfeertje !

  • This should be called "For Men Only". And not to appear snobbish, any one of these ladies is welcomed to hug me whenever they want. Especially the one at 6:29! She's my idea of beauty!

  • Steppenwolf was always one of the most underrated bands but, man, in my opinion they were one of the best bands of the era.

  • I've always loved this song, I bought the single at a G C Murphy's when it came out. And, I like the photos.

  • i have a comment.if you don't like the video, simple.don't watch it.you can listen and not watch.or maybe you would rather listen and not hear?

  • 6 fags here do not like nor pussy nor good music

  • :)))))))))wtf dudes?

    wtfuck with this stupid pictures?

  • John Kay I am sure enjoyed looking at this.

He probably can still get ladies like these. Nice looking ladies. Have you watched a rap video lately?

  • Sweetheart the song is for ladies only and as a lady I fucking hate your video!!!

But I like the song and Steppenwolf, so I won't hold it against you...

  • This is women brave and proud showing off what they have, whatever it is. We men appreciate and applaud their audacity. A woman has to put up with underwire and high heels so often in her life, not to mention possibly being a mother. It's just a crime to think any other way. I particularly like the Bettie Paige insert. A true free spirit. Rock on girls!!

  • since these images are geared for a male population, its abundantly obvious that they become an example of what john was singing....pity the one who posted these images has very little depth of thought, to be able to distinguish what the song refers to...

  • love is sweet

  • oh grow up applehead or what ever your name is, your to stupid to know what he would like. jees,

  • Bullshit ! Whats wrong with all these pictures of beautiful women set to a song called " "For Ladies Only " ? You sound like a cock juggling thundercunt . take 5 bitch!

  • @hieronomy LOL!

  • I don't know . . . these girls seem a little naughty.

  • i love blood guts gore ugly broke older man with talent and rape games

  • Sorry, but I don't think these pics are a good match for John Kay's thoughtful lyrics about relationships. They sort of devalue the message of the song. Plus, I don't like such skinny women (LOL!)

Anybody seen the excellent video that somebody has made for "Monster" that matches the lyrics so well?

  • @fabrikk60 Maybe they can put together a video of Roseanne Bar just for you...I enjoy the hotties.

  • @owenseightball You go putting any pictures of Rosanne on here and I am sure this video will get exactly 0 plays. That is one nasty woman.

  • @fabrikk60 Yeah saw that, it was AWESOME and more revelent now thn then.

  • @fabrikk60 Yep, I've seen several other videos that match the meaning of the lyrics MUCH better than this bunch of "come-on" pics of overly made up women. But I guess if you're otherwise "preoccupied" looking & doing whatever @ the pics of chicks, then you're certainly going to be too busy to listen to what the lyrics actually say.

  • concerning the FLO drum style,Jerry Edmonton was the drummer during the early era (& this recording). He had a distinctive style w/ powerfull delivery.Sadly,Jerry was fatally injured in a car accident in 1993.

  • "For Ladies Only" One ass-kicking album! Best by Steppenwolf.

  • i love purity

  • I luv dirt and shit

  • Bobby's drum break at 2:48 is CLASSIC early 70's rock. RIP Bobby

  • Who the fuck is Bobby? He never played drums for Steppenwolf.

  • Yes, I agree - a classic drum break. I now use it myself. The drummer's name on this song was Jerry Edmonton.

  • @HollywdMike Excellent drummer wasn't he? Key player with lots of unique stuff, especially on some of their song intros.

  • @martianshoes Don't think there was any "Bobby" playing drums for the band. Not on this song anyway.

  • I never played drums with Steppenwolf. I wish I did! Their drummer died in car accident years ago, He was GREAT! Best rock drummer ever invented! I played but suck Now I do FEMDOM. I luv being beat up by a sexy girl. Who doesn't.... I'm going to get whipped right now. I luv my girlfriend.
  • Aha your a dirty mof trying to be funny

  • my name's melvin, and I used to be a nerd. Now I can move wit' all de hip layties, cuz I is fly.

  • Longevity is the shame of the West. AN honestly controlled war is the shame of the east. For Zen's reason: the guilt cures the crack.

  • Still not in the Rock and Roll Hall of Shame.

  • sweet

  • Ifyou had the original album like I had ;you would find the " dickmobile" if you opened the album.During moving and traveling mine was destroyed.ssdewayne

  • Great album and album art. I heard they got busted for driving it around in Toronto.

  • One of the most diverse and talented bands of all time...although I know they went through a few member changes...still an awesome band. When they sound like a studio recording live, you know they've got something special!

  • Beautiful!!

  • I believe there is also performance video of Steppenwolf performing this song to, but it's abbreviated to a shorter version without the long break in the middle. I believe it was on American Bandstand.

  • Original and best Steppenwolf guitarist was Mike Monarch

  • There aren't many songs written this well, incredible lyrics, couldnt ask for a better voice to sing them. The music couldn't fit any better. One of my favorites since 71. The whole album is a top notch classic the people missed. Maybe because no one listens to words, maybe because of the album fold out. If you can find it, buy it and listen.

  • Are you kidding me?

The 60s/70s were about sex, drugs and rnr.

First off Kay I'm sure wouldn't have objected since since he played at the playboy mansion.

Not necessarily the greatest move, although we do have this recording as a result.

This montage simply deifies/reifies the ideal woman for some bb'ed person.

Don't take it so seriously; instead, relax, goto starbucks in your hyrid honda and buy a carmel mocchiatos,p. Let it go er . . .it that let be?!

  • i am sure that john kay would not approve of your misspelling of his last name! Oh, it just makes me furious!!!!

  • @musicvideoswhd jajajajajjaaj, I was certainly not staring at the monitor. camon you kids, listen to the music....it's wonderful! have a nice day and thanks for posting! LOVE!

  • @musicvideoswhd I'm pretty sure John Kay wouldn't want a fan, that doesn't use capitals when writing his name, to bash another John Kay fan for perhaps making a miss type ;) "qwerty".. e is right beside w, if you would have actually read his next words, you might understand.

If I made mistakes, please bash me all you want :) I love it, and still a good video, some people are just naturally furious.

  • @abbiesdisciple1 if the video bothers you, you would most definitely be appalled by the picture of the car on the inside of the album cover. :)

  • @abbiesdisciple1 Why is featuring beautiful women abusive. You obviously never saw the album cover to this record and the infamous Dickmobile on the inside cover. Women had everything to do with this song. This song was a warning to assholes who mistreat women. Hell, John might have dated some of these women or at least would give it a shot.

  • @abbiesdisciple1 I approve though.

  • @abbiesdisciple1 Jesus dude take it easy.

  • @abbiesdisciple1 so i take it that your a woman or a gay and if you are a straight guy than you should go to hell

  • @abbiesdisciple1 Don't listen to his politically correct non-spelling ass. You did an EXCELLENT job here! Keep it up!

  • @abbiesdisciple1 I'm sure that John Kay would prefer that ladies of ALL races, nationalities, skin colors, and cultures be shown on a video of this song. There are NO Asian, African, East Indian, or Hispanic women shown on this video and this, to me, is very sad. This song is a timeless classic, though!

  • @goriii19582006 Look again. I myself don't think I noticed any black women, but I did notice something that it seems, (at least going by the comments I've read), that nobody else has: it appears that the majority of these women are FAMILIAR, probably to anyone who actually bothered to give it a chance. I recognized Cameron Diaz in at LEAST 2 shots, Nicole Kidman, Angelina Jolie, a BEAUTIFUL close-up of Michelle Pfeiffer, the famous pin-up girl Betty Page-girls w/guns-tough women. I am a woman.

  • @goriii19582006

The person who compiled these photos has a definite tase for the type of ladies you see here. Try to give your political correctness a rest and enjoy it.

  • @5jerry1 "definite tase" was meant to be "definite taste."

Still, just enjoy it for what it is.

  • @abbiesdisciple1 you unfortuately are way to feminist.i think john would have done what most healthy males would have done and appreciated the pix.

  • @abbiesdisciple1 go fuck yourself idiot. oh shit! it's the youtube police checking on steppenwolf comments and you're the idiot that doesn't even know how to spell the lead singer's name.

  • @abbiesdisciple1 What? You never saw the original gatefold then!

I'm still trying to find a penismobile. Now that, I'm sure, you would disapprove of. Lighten up kid, genitals ain't no big deal...after all, they made you.

  • @abbiesdisciple1 Obviously you are a feminist, probably a lesbian and John Kay would not approve of your bs whining about someone's right to freedom of expression. If ya don't like something keep your mouth shut and move on. Being politically correct is going by the way of last century---out of sight out of mind. Women have always been about their sexual appeal and men have always been about trying to get some of it, (well most men) it's nature and there is nothing wrong with it.

  • @abbiesdisciple1 of course he would have approved, every man likes to look at nice chicks

  • I had this album in 1971 and i remember the car in the centerfold.

  • this album remind me very nice time in San Bernardo

  • Genuino Rock'nRoll. Muito boa esta banda! Histórica!

  • The band went through a few guitar players too..Bonfire, Byrum, Kent Henry on this record, and then yet another guy on Slow Flux about 3 years after this record..

  • the guy on slow flux was bobby corhran.

  • That would be Bobby Cochran, and he's a nephew of pioneer 50s rock'n'roller Eddie Cochran.

  • I had this album- the centerfold had a car that looked like a penis-veins & all!

  • Reminds me of the good old days..Love this great classic band..Thanks for uploading it..

  • GOOD CHOICE OF LADIES!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • Didn't a few members of Steppenwolf pass away in the mid 70's?????

  • The drummer Jerry Edmonton died in a car wreck. Rushton Moreve died in a motorcycle wreck.(1981)

  • I thought so but couldn't remember which ones they were.Thankx!!!!

  • gimme teh pix pls!!! link?

  • As far as I know they're still not in the Rock and Roll Hall of Shame and neither is Grand Funk Railroad

  • your right, don't know whats wrong with those people in clevland--passed over the DAVE CLARK FIVE 3 times!!

  • Todd Rundgren isn't in it. Fuck 'em, Todd's way too cool to be associated with that bullshit, anyway.

  • ...and so's Steppenwolf, and Blue Oyster Cult, and The Tubes, and Cheap Trick, and Jethro Tull, and countless others that could beat the shit out of Tom Pathetic and The Windbreakers, and John Cougar Mellonhead, etc.

  • bogettes FTW!

  • [+]

  • ..would be nice if this cd were back in print. I used to have it on vinyl, and i played the hell out of it. Loved it!..Hopefully, somebody out in this wonderfully chaotic universe will see this, and maybe re-release it with some bonus mixes..now THAT would be awesome..

  • Right you are Charliemta,Goldy was classically trained, but the rock gig/drugs were the end of his music career, too bad 'cause he had much talent. This song was probly the best of the bands creative force, but it never made a dent in the top 40 tho...shows what people know.

  • Right -on -and "The Righteous Rock, of A GREAT BAND , THEY HAD IT TOGETHER AND IT STILL SHOWS ,ALOT OF BANDS? TODAY GOT THEIR HEADS IN A HOLE!!!

  • This is one of my favorite songs, period. It was from one of Steppenwolf's last albums, right? This song is what I would call "art rock", something that's sadly missing from today's scene.

The long piano solo is absolutely brilliant, a work of genius; it begins as kind of a classical piece and morphs and builds into really funked-out blues/jazz.

These guys, and the times that produced them, were absolutely great.

  • by the way eric clapton ripped off the piano break and applied it to layla.

  • 1. Layla was released first.

    2. Jim Gordon wrote the piano bit from Layla.

  • Buena cancion, buen grupo, buen video y buenas mujeres

  • hmm so many women

  • icould use some of that

  • I just love it as much as I did in 1969.Beautiful music.

  • They never were chosen for the Rock Hall of Fame 'cause its a corp-based yank job to get the artists to pay for induction...creating more catalog sales.I wouldn't have paid to be inducted either..JK is one of the smarter rockers, after all he survived all these years in a cut throat music biz.

  • One of America's most underrated bands, I've been listening to these guys for 30 years and they rock! Check out "Hour of the Wolf" album if you can get a hold of it. This song and "Monster" are their best efforts...

  • here here!...a mryiad of top 40 hits,,yet theyre hardly mentioned when it comes to the heavyweights of the 70s...born to be wild by itself is an american classic, and the list goes on,magic carpet ride, the pusher, monster, etc..

  • "one of the best, no doubt!!!! "

Yes, of course, you are right.

In norwegian; dette er en av de beste gruppene som har eksistert."

Where can I find; "I'm asking". It is one of the best...

  • "Above all that as far as I know they're still not in that piece of shit Rock and Roll Hall of Fame."

    Holy shit, what the fuck?

  • great job-great tune that never got air play-of course great slide show too!!

  • lotsa memories with these tunes, working for the railroad way out in the woods for 3 mos.we had this album and kinda knew the songs by hard after a while, but what a great band they were, mind you i'm talking like 1971

  • Man. this music reminds me of waterbury, connecticut, 1975, smokin' dope in fulton park and checkin out all the hot babes from wilby high....oreo the kookie man

  • one of the best, no doubt!!!!

  • Steppenwolf will go down in history! They are to good for the rock n roll hall of fame!

  • This is one of the albums that helped me while I was stationed overseas with the Army.

It was a nice touch of home.

  • I still have all the LP's made by The Stepenwolfs before 1976 - most of them from back then, also 'For Ladies Only' :-)

Bought them second hand in the late 80's whenever I could find them (preferably the original).

    One of my favourite bands.

  • It's a damned shame that most people think of Born to be Wild and Magic Carpet ride when they think of Steppenwolf. I remember For Ladies Only album cover with the infamous dickmobile on the inside cover. The issues this great band addressed are so relevant today it's hard to believe their song are almost 40yrs old. Above all that as far as I know they're still not in that piece of shit Rock and Roll Hall of Fame. Unfucking believeable

  • You are right about all of it!

  • What a piece of art. Shame that the general public seems to prefer garbage. Thanks for posting. 3 thumbs way up!

  • Being 21 I never heard this song on the radio despite my best efforts at calling all sorts of rasio stations and requesting it. What a cool song. And that's a nice and hot vid too!

  • This song was a radio single, but of course a much shorter version without the piano solo. I think the short version is on some of the greatest hits CDs, but who'd even want that when they could hear the album version?

  • Great to find this...Always loved the tune..What a number...

  • Thanks for all the fine women pics,I always loved the long version of 'FLO'...perfect drumming, classical piano with those growling vocals..."Half the world has been built on their tears..."

  • This song has always ben a fave of mine. Nice work with the pix!
