@Zicko1000 Thank you, my friend! Stars or Like, we get the message! Appreciate it. Be sure to check scalerwave and batmnkozzy to see their live work!
I'm still tring to decide if that was a Beatles overdub or not. It doesn't look like it but it sure sounds like it. Also kinda wonder where the extra instruments are sounds coming from.
It just sound so damned good that it's hard to believe. I'd give 5 stars just for the production, so I guess it doesn't matter.
We thank you kindly for that comment! Check out scalerwave's other work and you will see where the magic came from. I was quite amazed and honored when I saw what he did with my simple video.
I'm just kinda getting into the multiple screen vids so I can do multiple parts. I'm almost ready to do Going to California (all parts). It's like my favorite acoustic song ever and I've always fingerpicked the main part but I can't wait to record it with all parts. I've got so many songs to post but it's hard to find the time.
I started this video using MovieMaker. I used an add on to get the picture-in-picture for my 2 guitar parts. Scalerwave liked it, so I sent him my original file, which is also posted, and he added vocals and backing tracks and a video for his vocal.
He then recruited Batman for the drums. Batman played along to our video while doing video of him playing drums. He sent that video to Scalerwave. Scalerwave then added some Beatles pics and background video for effect. He used Sony Vegas pro to mix the video and reaper to mix the audio. He did all the hard work and has done some other collabs that are really good!
I posted a link to his channel in the info box. Check it out. I'm sure you'll enjoy it.
That's more from scalerwave. He did bass, strings (midi), vocals, video. My original video was my part. He is truly a jack of all trades! I posted it on my site in hopes some of my subscribers will sub to him also.
Great! Keep listening, you won't wear the grooves on this one! I remember how upset I was when I put a big scratch on my 'Rubber Soul' album! Then you'd get that 33 1\3 click! Or was that before your time?
Really well done. I'm jealous that Scalerwave hasn't done this with any of my videos ;) He's a bit of a guru with the video eh? - and a guru with the audio - unless you were playing to a tick your tempo would drift, which makes it hard for the drummer, and the singer, and the keyboard backing so he's probably done some audio alignment...and...
Let's just leave it at really, really well done. I've done simple video and audio before and I know how much effort that would have been to do.
Ha! Maybe scalerwave hasn't found the land down under! I'm not telling him :) He is a real wizard with this and I was lucky he stumbled onto mine. I was free flowing on my original, and adding drums last!! Yes, he put a lot into it. I'll make sure he sees your comment!
Glad you liked the video. Luckily, Fano has good timing so it wasn't hard to keep in step. The drum tracks were added last but that's just the way things turned out. The whole thing just started out as an experiment. I didn't know where it was going to go.
When Koji sent me the drum tracks, they needed to be slid into sync but after that, they were solid.
Did you notice that there were no mics on his drums?
Hey Scaler - like delta said, I didn't notice mics on the drums - did you go all tricky and frequency separate a cam mono audio feed? You've got too much time on your hands ;)
You do videos for a living or is it just a hobby passion? I only saw the FLV version so it was hard to tell, but the blue screen work looked very professional, not just a blue screen filter in ulead...
Ed - keep playing Beatles, Scaler must be a fan of the fab four ;)
OK, Jaw! Will do! I tried to do the green screen, but didn't have much success. So I know that takes a certain technique. Scaler has proven his worth as a producer! He has the patience and skills that I lack. Now I have to watch it again and listen for the drum separation Dan is talking about. :-)
Yes, if I could sing like he does, I'd be posting a new one every day! Be sure to subscribe to his channel if you haven't already! And take a look at BatmanKozyy's channel too!
Thank you, my Oldbuddy. Or is it mate? I enjoy watching it too. You know, the credit goes to scalerwave. Again, he did all the hard work on putting the pieces together, and he got all the little pieces in the right places. So, thanks again from all of us!
Thank you, Staffan. I consider myself lucky that scalerwave found my video and saw the potential. I enjoy playing, but this means a lot to share it with someone. We thank you for sharing it with us.
wow! this is nicely done... video, audio...everything sounds so polished!
thanks for sharing this Beatle cover.

Thanks Korg.

Yes, Batman did great. Especially since he added to our already completed tracks. He had to follow instead of lead.

ScalerWave 3 years ago
I didn't notice there weren't any mic's, but I did notice the distinct stereo separation on the drums. Now you've got me wondering how it was done.

Yeah, mine is playing back in stereo too. I found that it takes a while to process stereo after uploading.
I also uploaded the video to Vimeo but it appears that Youtube did a much better job on the file compression for "High Quality" mode.
I deleted the video from Vimeo after seeing it on Youtube. The video looked terrible on Vimeo.
