  • My heart still crys for my lost buddies, their names are on many different panels of the wall, so many fine young men lost in a war we were not allowed to win because of political ramifacations. Rest in peace my friends one day we will all meet again at Fiddlers Green. Every night I enter a place that only exists deep in my mind back in Nam still fighting the war like being in an endless time warp that replays over and over. Rest in peace

  • @cavtrooper67 I'm sorry for the lost friends and hope God has them safe. THANK YOU for serving!

  • I would like to say thank you from my father-in-law who didn't make it through la Drang valley. He was with 1/7 Cav in 1st Cav Div. God bless all our soldiers and their families who also share in the hardships. Thank you again from a retired Scout.

  • Yes Lord bless all our soldiers and other military people. Please bring them home safely to thier families and loved ones. Please place peace and love in all our hearts when it comes to wars and our troops being over there so that we can sleep at night it doesn't matter what race they are because they all bleed red, white and blue. God bless the USA and that another 9/11 will never happen again.

  • i thought there would be more ...pity

  • Cried in my coffee! My brothers name, John N Brewer, is on the wall about 35-37 seconds into this video!!!!. Had to pause it and run and get the rubbing I did from the actual wall back in the mid 80's to verify. Thank you for your creation of this video, it is a wonderful tribute to our soldiers. Also, if anyone reading this, knew Johnny and about a friend of his who made a music album and dedicated it to my brother please contact me at windstar59@hotmail.com. Remembering always. The Brat

  • Seeing this video for the first time. So many of these comments express my feelings as well. How overwhelmed I felt when I first found "Reflections" and discovered that the names on the painting were actual names! More awestruck was when I found my brother's name in the painting, panel 30 E, line 23! Thanks so much for the time you spent on this video! We must NEVER forget!

  • Truely wonderful, thank you very much.

  • Been there and one that. Visited the Wall and tried to find all the names of my brothers in arms. Stood at the monument showing the soldiers as you walk out of the Wall. I heard Jimmy Fortune sing this at Dollywood and it still brought back the memories. Painful as they are I will never forget. The fallen have given the ultimate price for people so they can express their opinions right or wrong.

  • Wonderful job on the video. Thank you so much for posting it. When you added Taps at the end, wow! Thank you, troops, every single one of you.

  • all of our fallen soldiers are much more than a name on a wall. Even if we dont support a way we need to support the men and women who fight it

  • The picture at 1:00 was incredible. Almost made me cry

  • This is a great video and will always be one of my favorite patriotic songs! Thank you to all the men and women who are serving and have served in our military. We must never forget those who gave the ultimate sacrifice so we may enjoy freedom! Thank you for posting!

  • Thank you so very much for the and song. This is a very beautiful aand heart-felt thing that you have accomplished, with your sister. I was in tears as I listened and watched the video. I am a surviving veteran of Vietnam. It is due to you and the many people that feel the way you do about our troops, that make us feel that we have in some small way, accomplished. Again I say, Thank You very much.

    Carl.

  • This is a truly AMAZING video. Thank you so much. My father has been deployed once, and thank the Lord he made it back to us. This really is touching because I soon hope to be a United States Marine.

Also, where can I find the picture at 2:12?

  • This is a truly heart warming song and reminds of my great uncle johnny. He died for god and country in 1945 in WW2. The song also reminds of me of papa and how he fought for go and country. I am happy he made it home and we got to know each other. For the people who didnt make home , i know your are guarding the gates of heaven.

simperfi , god bless and god speed !

  • my cousin served in the navy and nobody knows why i love him so much not even me thats just heartbreaking i havent seen him in 5 years

  • Simply....Thank you.

  • This is an amazing video. good job.

  • dont change nothin man its perfect many thanks

  • i love this song and your message at the end is so true and touching thank you

  • This is my favorite Statler Brothers' song. There is a name on that wall of a man who took my place in Vietnam. He was more than just a name on that wall.

  • ..grief came searching quietly, all along the wall

seeking proof of souls immortal in those who

stood for all, pain and sorrow linger densely in

the air,and hearts of those reliant sojourners

    stopping there.. thanks

  • This song brings tears to my eyes every time I hear it. May God Bless the Troops and keep them safe. And thanks to all those who served and are serving.

  • Could anybody tell me the name of the beautiful painting at 0.56. It's the most moving thing I've seen in a long time ......Ex Aussie digger ...

  • "Vietnam Reflections" by Lee Teter

I just posted a link to a website with a short biography on the painting. If a pictures worth a thousand words, that ones worth a million.

  • Your a champion mate, thankyou so much for that.

Means a lot me. Cheers ...

  • @Quatrawinner We have this painting hanging in my Dad's office. I look at it sometimes wondering about him while he's deployed.

  • vietnam reflections and have it hanging on my wall. most galleries have it. Bill

  • Thanks mate ..... I bet you look at every day...

  • @fjbutch The title is REFLECTIONS, i hang it in a place of honor. The artist is

Lee Teter, copy right 1968, chapter 172 Viet Nam Veterans of America. GL hunting

  • @a7trapper Thanks mate ....cheers for that ...,.

  • @fjbutch they say a pic is worth a 1000 words that is worth a 1,000,000 the pic at 0:56

  • @veteranscomefirst cerrtain is...:)

  • Thank you for making this video. The song has always made me cry, but when you put in TAPS at the end, it melted my heart. My daddy served in the navy at Vietnam. I learned from him to respect our military men and women no matter what cause they fight for. I was in a restaurant about a year ago and I told the waitress I would pay the bill for the soldier sitting alone. She said, "I'm paying for it. The boss doesn't like it, but I do it anyway." I got to meet two awesome people that day.

  • thank you for doing that. not many people would go out of their way to try and buy a meal for our soldiers.

  • My generation is on the wall, my son is on his way BACK to Iraq.

  • A wonderful tribute to our heroes!

  • Semper Fi! Beautiful and heartwrenching. Thanks to all who served.

  • this song always makes me cry. Some of the comments are also sad. Taps always give me a chill.

God bless you for your thoughtfulness.

God bless all the men and women heroes in uniform, past present and future.God bless their family and friends.

  • dummy,Just put a b between the m&a and remove the ne,and you will have the appropriate name for you.DUMBASS! who the hell do think you are?You sound like a little self centered juvenile delinquent.I'd bet you have never done a positive thing in your life. You dare criticize people who have put their life on the line for others. Now run crying to your mommy tell her, someone insulted her little selfish piece of shit and hurt it's feelings.

  • That shot at 1:00 is awesome. I paused and held it there for awhile. Where did you find that?

It's Memorial Day 2009, so I looked for this song on YouTube. You and another guy did excellent jobs with putting together montages. Definitely going into my favorites--though next time I don't think I'll watch it right before bed! :-(

    Thank you for this.

  • That particular photo was from photobucket. search vietnam wall and it should come up some where down the line.

I'll admit this will get you to thinking, especially late at night. thank you for the compliment, i'm glad you liked it. But compared to what our soldiers have done for us, this is the least i could do for them.

  • @mundymanor That was a USAF sgt. hold a child whose parents had been killed several days prior. The child could only sleep when "that soldier" held it. The Sgt. spent every night there, holding the child. It was just before Christmas 2005.God Bless him and all the others.

USAF 66-70 824 security police and damn proud

  • My husband served in Nam, when I was only 9 years old. So this was not something I understood. As I sit and listen and watch this video and others, today I am weeping and I have been to DC with him, I now I fully understand it all. Thank you to all of you who served to protect a little girls freedom and a special thank you to the fallen and their families who paid the ultimate price for me to be free. God Bless All Of You Always and Forever.

  • Made me cry.........Vietnam....my body is home....but I'll always be on that hill 937 May 15th, 1969.......Marty...tommy....Dennis....Peenee...Buck....you guys saved my life that day.....Marty you were so shot-up but you kept on fighting like a wounded tiger,....my friend i will never be able to repay you buddy....you died in my arms that night ...but i died with you my friend..i still cry at night......i will never forget you...3rd Squad 1st platoon 101 Airborne Div. Mad Bear. I WILL REMEMBER!

  • I can't even imagine what you went through, but know this. I will never forget the sacrifices you and your friends made that day.

  • @flyingnicemadbear Thank you for your service and may God bless you and your fallen comrades. It must have been very hard and I could not imagine what you went through. I have a brother that was in the gulf war. He came back thank God. I have many Uncles, brothers, nephews and friends that are in the military. I pray that God will keep them safe. I know your buddy appreciated you being there when he passed. May God comfort you. On my behalf thank you once again.

  • @flyingnicemadbear Your words made me cry .

  • @flyingnicemadbear Hooah, my friend! Thank you for your service so men and women of my generation could serve our great nation. HHC, 1-13 AVN Regt. 1 Avn. Bde.

  • @flyingnicemadbear From one vet to another.....Thank you for your service. Please don't think of yourself as dying with your friend. You all fought together knowing what the outcome could be. You survived because God had another mission for you to complete. Whatever your mission is....do it knowing there is a reason.....a very good reason, you are still here. Your friends would want nothing less. God bless you!

  • 1:18

    my favorite monument

it really show a depction of how they had to carry our flag, even do they were being shoot

it just remind us that freedom does have a price and that price was already payed, we shall know how valuable it is so that we don't loose it any time soon

  • your right freedom does have a price. That price will continue to be payed untill freedom is removed from civilization. But civilization without freedom is not civilization. it is despotism and chaos in the purest sense. So to quote the battle hymn of the republic " As He [Christ] died to make men holy, let us live to make men free..." Christ set us free with his life, so let us use our lives to make all of man kind free.

  • yes agree 100% with you

God bless u for the video

  • thank you, and i wish you the same blessing

  • Thank You for your tribute to our men and women, and this great Statlers song.

  • God bless the fallen heroes, and active ones a like. I have nothing but respect and love for all our armed forces. BUT I have nothing but bitterness, disdain, frustration, and complete lack of pity for the politicians who create the wars these brave men and women give their lives in. I find some solace in belief that everyone will gets what coming to them in the end. Long live the CONSTITUTION!

  • Thank you for supporting our troops. but i must disagree with you, as far as politics go. there was a reason to go to war, to topple a mercilous dictator and his terrorist allies. But that discussion should be held else where. In the end what really matters is the men and women fighting for our country so far away from home this Christmas. May everyone serving and none serving have a very Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year. Come home safe guys.

  • AMEN

  • Thank you for the tribute to our heros, keep them and may God bless and hold them safely till they return home.

PFC, US Army, 1990-1992, Gulf War Vet.

  • theres a teacher at Buford that wrote this song for one of his friends i dont have him but his name is Mr. Rimel

  • My English teacher, John Rimel, wrote this song 20 years ago in honor of his best friend Charles "Chippie" Butler whose helicopter was shot down in Vietnam. God bless.

  • God bless the USMC and the USA.

and above all, god bless you all.

  • Best regard to all the Vietnam vets.

and may all great soldiers kia there may rest in peace for ever.

  • I do not belive in war .... but I do have respect for all of you that have gave your life to you who served that have never came home to you that are serving and to you that did serve who have passed on thanx for your time I WILL NEVR FORGET WHAT YOU HAVE DONE FOR STANDING UP FOR WHAT YOU BELIVE IN JUST REMEMBER YOU R LOVED

  • Nice collection of pictures. Thanks for doing this.

    In Country RVN 8/70 - 10/71

  • your welcome, and thank you for serving our nation. Could i ask you what the RVN stands for? i'm trying to learn military designations, so i can understand more about the war and the people that fought it. again thankyou for serving our country.

  • Sure - RVN, at least for my use here, is Republic of Vietnam. I think you'll find that it's mostly used now by Vietnam Veterans and less by the general public.

  • thank you, that really helped.

  • Very good, I myself am tired of hearing all of these bullshit stories that our troops are violent murderers. You see pictures and videos of them passing out candy and shit to kids. I've seen videos of schools in Iraq getting COMPUTERS to improve education. That is something no other Arab country has in their high schools!!! We are doing great things for those people. Don't believe the stories of negative slander.

  • I'll admit it irritates me to no end, when the media only puts out pictures of car bombings and such. I know that our soldiers are doing more good than harm. i've seen the pictures of kids running up to soldiers, waving their hands with smiles on their faces. Now can anyone tell me, is that the kind of reaction you would get from a child if you were so evil. NO, it isn't! So why doesn't the libral media show that? because bad news and slander sells.

  • Continued from below

call your local news and tell them what we want. We want to actually see the real side of our soldiers, not the stuff that they have made up. i know a few veterans from vietnam, and World War 2 and they aren't any where near evil, in fact they are the kindest and most gentle guys i know. So i challange any one on youtube or any where else to say, with a straight face, that our troops are evil. face it no one can do that, and if they can, they just illusrated what slim is.

  • we are neither evil nor good, we are just people who for a period of our life stood for what we believed in. the belief that serving our country was the right thing to do. some died and some didn't. some carry the burden forever and some returned home and bore the burden silently. But all remember.

  • we all gave some...but some gave all....

    3rd Batt. 7th Marines ChuLai,RVN 10/65-11/66

  • thank you for serving your country. Thank you for giving your all. I know it must have been hard on you and your squadmates. To me you guys are the true heros. i'm proud of any one that has served or is serving. May people never forget the sacrifices you guys made.

    Semper Fi.

  • I like it... well done

  • Thanks.

  • this is beautiful! nice work :)

  • thanks, glad you liked it.

  • Ok so that just what i though, I really have never done a tribute video for real life events, but if I did, I would make it more of an emotional and reflextive video. But like I said its just what I think, but this video does show and reflexs how you feel about the troops out there fighting with there heart and soul to protect. But you chose some real good pics.

  • if you can't get a clue then just shut the fuck up, ass hole!!!!

  • hey don't fuss at Reu, i asked him to dissect this vid so i could make a better one. second of all I WILL NOT TOLERATE CUSSING IN ANY OF THE COMMENTS ON MY VIDS. I would appriciate it if you would at least appologies to Reu. Reu is a dear fried of mine. Finally if you have something positive to say then say it, if not then keep it to your self.

  • One more thing, i apologies for jumping on you like that. i realize it may not have looked like i had asked him to dissect the vid. Its just that i have a real dislike for cussing in people comments. again my apologies.

  • well if you want consructive critisium, I hope you don't mind what I am about to say. I mean no harm ok. Well first of this is a tribute to the fallen heros of war, so though the song is very good, it doesn't fit the theme of remeberence. You could try instrumental music or an type of music that has a more emotianol feel, also short texts, like- 'Do heros exist' or 'Is freedom free' can make the viewer really start to think and apriciate what you feel.
