This miss is still refered to when allowing bow hunting in Sweden is discussed. This is just to show that it's possible even for a average archer to hit an apple with a bow (you don't need to be William Tell)."

Its not a hard shot with a compound, bow hunting with a sightless recurve (barebow) is another matter.

Much ppl do. Compound and Recurve r two different types of bows, it does make a difference
