If it wasn't for FULL Stalinism would they also have shit food? On a more serious note, these stories are pretty horrific regards pay and conditions!! All in all sounds totally illegal never mind inhumane etc They sound overly enthusiastic for such shit situations, but I suppose you have to make the best of it sadly.
