I suggest that that the entire student population of amerika takes a year off. Go do some private study. Work for charities. Volunteer abroad. Try to start a business. The title is very biased already. This was in no way a "sneaky getaway." The regents are in no way trying to sneak away from students. They are trying to leave the campus safely. I do understand that the protestors were protesting peacefully, but you can't take a risk and walk in a crowd of people who are against you.

The regents gave students 1 minute each for about 20 minutes to talk.... that's insane. I agree that "sneaky getaway" is "biased" but what title isn't? "Regents leave building" is still biased because it tries to objectively hide the context and situation in which they were avoiding students.

@ravel111 Tuition hikes haven't stopped because of budget cuts. The money is needed to keep the campuses running and modern: constructing new buildings, repairing old buildings, financial aid, maintaining/operating the plants, upkeeping libraries, student life activities, equipment/supplies, etc. There is a newer MSE building. The Statistics building is being redone. The student rec center will be expanded. As I walk around UCR, I see a quality school, but that is not without a price.

I was there, for the whole meeting. I agree with the polotics of the protestors, but the sad truth is not one stayed, nor do the ever stay for the meeting. They don't have the attention span for it.
