1st Solo- You have a great voice... Just not fit for the style of this song...

2nd Solo- Dude I loved you!!! My friend likes your hair... But you were really good!!!

3rd Solo- You were AMAZING!!!! You took the floor and said hey I am here to bring it!!! Your voice was perfect for this music style!!! But it would have been better if you wouldn't have taken a breath in the middle of the high note!!! But you were great!!!

you guys don't blend very well. i think that you should be standing in sections. alto tenor bass soprano. thats how our school choir does it and it helps a lot because you're hearing everyone else in your section so you know if you're sharp or flat

When you're a soloist yes you should be able to sing without having to rely on anyone else but when you're in a big group and you're all mixed up and singing different parts at the same time it's a lot harder to figure out if you're singing the right notes

I read some comments before I heard the solos and thought "why be so harsh?" Then I watched and, true; the solos are cringe-worthy. But still I think "why be so harsh?" Most who sang in high school can look back and know how far they've come. My voice has developed so much and still I hesitate to call it good. But I love singing and it would make me sad if people insisted on berating my efforts. It also does no good to defensively rave about how awesome this is and call people "jealous."

Oh, and it was my first solo EVER and I was SOOOO freakin nervous! Cut me some slack! Don't you have better things to do than say nasty things about videos? The choir as a whole was very good. However, I can not say the same for the soloists. Apparently, they were the ones best suited to the roles, yet could not pull them off all that well. The Alto girl was pretty good, but the tenor really screwed up his notes. The soprano didn't seem to have confidence at all.

My school had a chorus of 10 people. I being the only male which really sucked. However, I made a lot of new friends and a new found respect for performers. It isn't easy. Good job.

It's not as bad as some people are saying. True, the soloist have some problems, but it seemed more like nerves than a lack of talent.

The simple fact remains that some songs are beyond the level of most high school groups. Rent isn't easy to sing. Look at the actors (OBC and the movie). They are all amazing vocalists dripping talent from every pore.

The people in this video are young. Give them a break.

Ok, they did a good job. Here are my issues:

The first solorist needs to come out of that shell to be a soloist.

The guy did a good job. I give him props for that.

Ouch! The second girl started off really good but as soo as she went to that, non-existant, high note it threw EVERYTHING off!! She never should have done that. It killed it for me.
