Hi There! I've been loving watching your video tutorials on the distress inks....for the Ranger Mat that you use, is there an alternative? Or if we haven't found/bought one yet is there something similar we could use instead? I was wondering if wax paper would ok in the meantime :) TIA!!
@Kyla307 I love my craft mat, but a lot of the time I'll use a simple piece of scrap printer paper for just a little blending (that way I don't have to clean anything off- just recycle), and wax paper would work in the meantime for techniques that need the waxy surface (like water ones). It doesn't hold up nearly as well as the mat, though. If you live near a big box craft store, you should be able to get one using a coupon for around 10 dollars. I started that way first :) I only have a few but am happy with the ones I have. I just got the purple because I didn't even have that color in any brand of ink, but I use my tool with my other brand dye inks and they work just like distress inks and then I have way more colors ;)

This is extremely useful. I love your recommendations. When you have a low budget you don't want to make wrong decision it a waste of money. mmm unfortunately I did that. I bought two or more colors that I regret and none of them is what you recommended. I will buy some new color soon based on your recommendation. Thanks a lot for this video!!
