  • Nice work Todd! I liked it. I can see your intensity - don't forget to relax and take your time. Very well done though!

Part of the intensity may be b/c I was annoyed that my new beloved Bb Crossover harp ruined several takes b/c it got mushy & non-responsive on some notes, so I had to switch to my new Bb Manji, which I don't like as much (and the 4-draw / 8-draw octave is out of tune!).

    > take your time.

I'm cheating on the time part--I'm listening to a metronome thru the headphones hidden under my hat.

    > Very well done though!

    Thanks Danny!

  • Hi Todd,

    Really nice work my friend.

    See you

    STeph.

    Thanks!

After trying--and failing--to capture the complex timing in your "Desert Blues," I thought I would focus on something in a comfortable 4/4 time signature!

  • I recon you nailed that one and then some!

I tried my best ... not sure if it was good enough ... if I can get closer to Adam's sound after several more years of practice, I'll replace this video with an update!

    (But thank you: much appreciated!!)

  • Really impressive. Like the subway for natural accoustics ?

    Thanks!

    > Like the subway for natural acoustics?

Yes -- the only thing I don't like about it is that the only time I can record without too much interference from trains & commuters is on weekends before 5:00 a.m.

  • Good!

  • Brilliant. It's like I was listening to the master himself. I've added it to the BYBO3 site. Thanks.

FAR too kind!! I tried to get as close to Adam's sound as I could, but was so disappointed with all the ways I fail at capturing all his little subtleties that I almost decided against uploading this: my thought was that maybe I need to practice a few more years first!

Then I took a break for a couple hours, listened to it again, and decided I didn't hate it THAT much.

That is, I decided it doesn't sound too bad as long as you've never heard Adam's version.
