I'm with ElRhialto here, at about 1:30 we start hearing The Long March which is one of my favourite Vangelis tracks. It was used by John Sachs as backing for a regular feature on his long-running late show on London's Captial Radio. Thanks for sharing.
Nice work Mapkos!!!! I remember being completely blown away by this in 1979. I agree with Gingertig. Now with HD it's into an even higher dimension!!!!! Beautiful!!!!!!
It's actually a track made up of two different songs that fuse into each other. It opens with the track called Chung Kuo and subsequently melds into The Long March. Nevertheless. Beautiful song with a very imaginative video.
When I first heard this back in 1979 I was completely entranced - there was a huge amount of groundbreaking electronic stuff emerging in the 70s and it was a joy to discover music like this. The great thing is that being able to listen to it now in HD quality has made it sound completely new - I can hear all the different lines and effects so much better ! Thanks for sharing !
nice one ! its taken me 18 yrs to find this tune , if u want to here it with some great vocal samples follow this link THE MUSIC MAKER @ STERNS, pt 5 of 5 6mins 30secs into the video

Ah the cliche tune played whenever something was mentioned about China and other Oriental places even if they weren't China!
The tune itself sounds awesome. Vangelis...all his music is amazing.

this is a superb LP. I've got all of Vangelis' stuff from the late 70s. Recommend Albedo 0.39 - Alpha. It is mind blowing.

@westhoughtonian I hear about Alpha. It's also the best.
