i still have no idea why virtual box doesnt have support for cd/dvd rom though. it would make things a lot easier than downloading magic iso and ripping your own or going to piratebay.

@PrimeBreak9 screw that, ill just use my windows xp professional cd and rip an iso from it. its one thing to get pc games off of piratebay and crack them, its another thing to pirate bay an entire os. i have loads of pc games on my computer because of the piratebay, but it just doesnt seem right screwing with an OS. i dont care if its Mac OS X though.

i need Help. Im Running XP Off Virtual Box USing An ISO. Ive Done A Clean install But Everytime I Go To First Boot It Goes To BSOD, Now It Flashes Up For Like A Millisecond So i Had to Print Screen It And it read : Page Fault In Non Page Area. Can someone Help Because I Did Not Wait 5 Hours For My Xp To Iso For Nothing. And yes I Have Tried Setting IDE To PIIX3 And Using The Cd Instead But Nothing. Help WOuld Be Really Usefull. Thanks :)

@KnucklesARouge windows xp mode is like exactly the same but it doesnt work for every one - only for windows 7 pro and ultimate (which i do have) PLUS more people are using windows xp atm

I got it installed and running shortly after I posted that question and it was going fine until I tried to install a usb device, vbox crashed and when I restarted it the vhdd was corrupt :( lame

@bboygenio what you mean lose files? when installing? no theres no risk of losing your files, now if ure gonna delete Windows XP on Virtual Box and you have files on it then ull lose the files on XP and not 7
