  • Thanks to this video, I bought THE TALENTED MISS HIGHSMITH. I'm a fan of Patricia Highsmith and and this author got right under Highsmith's skin and made Highsmith and her work come alive. The writing is colorful , the form is unusual, and I found the 40 page chronology v. helpful. A really engrossing book.

  • The dispensing of chronology sucked. It confused me especially in the last bunch chapters when she got to Patricia's death. I wasn't sure if Patricia was dead or alive by then. The book was interesting but tedious and mostly had to speed read through it until it got interesting again. Has anybody read "Beauitiful Shadow"? I will check it out next, it's almost just as long but it seems more poetic and inspired.

  • @MrAngelshadow Highly agree with you, I found the book disjointed from the outset.

  • thx for this up. very interesting lecture of J. Schenkar.

  • Great book!!!!

  • Wow! Me too! Never been to NYC but I would love to! :)

  • Many thanks!! I am hoping, someday, to attend a writing program at The New School....
