  • Awesome, but less pedal, man. ;-)

  • AWESOME

  • Scott Joplin. Ragtime music. No doubt the inspiration behind this little song.

  • o.o this is the speed of my Treno song...btw, GREAT playing! It just wants me to play FF9 all over again!...except my discs r screwed up and scratched and i cant find another FF9 D:... 0:10 to skip to the song lol

  • ahh.. i raped the replay button! lol this fixes my mood!

  • It sounds like Spinach Rag from FF6 if you do the piano version...

  • I actually think it sounds better with a faster tempo, tbh.

  • Clap! Clap! Clap!

  • I actually like this speed, I agree with the 'sleepless city' feeling. I don't mean to offend those of you who prefer the original speed, but IMO, running through Treno, I felt too 'chill'. >_<

  • very impressive! nice work! :D

  • I totally approve of upping the tempo - the original seemed to drag a bit IMO. This captures that ragtime feeling perfectly. Excellent.

  • wow awsome ;)

  • You, sir, are excellent. Great song choice.

  • Bravo...excellent stuff, brings me back!

  • 1:35 to 1:45ish is the best good work

  • I feel like you're holding the echo pedal thing too long. But it really does sound great.

  • Fantastique ! Chapeau bas l'artiste ! J'applaudis ton talent !! ^_^

  • i wanna play this.. wahh

  • I got the sheet music but it'll take me a long time cuz I don't have lessons so i'm basically learning as I go....

    :,(

  • i don't know how to play too XD

  • Awesomeness!

  • This piece from the FF series is really refreshing...

Most other popular piano songs from FF are really sappy.

  • @undermine1 i hope by sappy, you dont mean poor... because nobou uematsu is a genious,

  • i know for one thing he makes people who uselessly respond to 7 month-old comments praise him as if he were some new-age beethoven

guess hes a genius in that respect

  • @undermine1

    fucking stupid comment.

first of all, i dont give a damn if its 7 months old, the fact you siad it in the first place, and you know that most of his music is a masterpeice, is asking for trouble, on a youtube page with one of his songs on it.

and did i say anything about praising him as if he was a new-age beethoven, because i swear i never did such a thing,

also, "he makes people who uselessly respond to..."

ive never met him, nor did me make me do anything.

    moron.

  • don t play grammar games

you cant twist my understanding in saying that nobuo is as great as you (and other FF nutters) think he is--a genious? dont make me laugh. if hes a genious then what does that make mozart? a mythic genious?

  • @undermine1 I don't think so. I and my fellow FF NUTTERS (lol, best you could come up with?) think Noubo Uematsu is a brilliant musician and has composed some memorable music. that many gamers around the world remember and appreciate.

I'm not downplaying the genius Mozart at all, but saying Uematsu is some slouch is silly.

  • @mrb1untman Never said he was a slouch, you did. Hell yea FF NUTTERS 'cause guess who's hanging on them? Lol.

  • i could listen to this song all friggin day and i wouldnt get tired of it

  • dude what are u doing to ur piano. everytime its in a different place xDDDD

  • Great!

I liked the tempo that way, too...

FFIX is my favorite, btw ;)

  • I like the tempo! It sounds more lively and more Treno ;3

  • fast indeed...

  • I prefer this speed, deffinatly brings the track to life and seems more appropriate for a city of thieves and nobles, well done!

  • It's a bit too fast IMO, take it easy.

Although the actual playing is very good, and sounds exactly like in the game.

  • haha well the tempo in the game is by far slower

  • @calbee219 I really like this speed of the song. I've always felt this is how fast it should go! Keep up the great work!

  • @Laurelindo read description

  • @bfitzpatrick1 dude that message was from a year ago...

  • love it, wish i could do it :)

  • The slight tempo change certainly livens it up, it wouldn't be my preference but its played beautifully. Portrays the grandeur of Treno in sound as opposed to the city itself. 5*

  • The tempo is perfect. It sounds just as it should.

  • i'd rather play the first part without pedal, then youre able to put the ragtime feeling better in the song

  • ahh your tempo definitely complements this piece. great job! :D

  • Godd then dont play it, final fantasy doesnt need "ImA SuPa l33t pwnz0r" type of person to play it.

  • This is really great, I keep trying to learn this, get half way through and then stop hahah...but i like how you upped the tempo, it flows like that in myhead too...alittle faster. It makes it like more exciting 5/5

  • this is original and perfect, congratulation

  • mola mucho esta cancin y va muy bien con treno

  • My god! very, very nice! absolutely nostalgic!

  • I love it

    good memories...

    :D

    thank you

  • wow. that was amazing. i remember when i used to play ffix aaall the time. till one day, disc 1 appear all scratched and wouldn't work. T~T

    i loved that.

    mp3? like seriously? :D

  • Man, i kinda wanna bang you right now! haha i lovvvvveee this song!

  • I really like how it turned out using a faster tempo.

  • Great job... really brings back my memories of roaming around Treno playing Tetra against people and going to the auction.

    5/5

  • the only player i know who plays the lower runs in the beginning if u know what i mean.

    sounds AWESOME keep it up

  • Amazing! just a little hint though, most ragtime songs use minimal damper petal, I think you can get a more lively feeling without damping 70%+ of the song.

    Still phenominal playing though.

  • x_X: ...

    Wow

  • hei bro is that a yamaha??

  • yep

  • most high skilled treno theme player on youtube!

  • Really! It makes me want to go to the old Treno card stadium or auction house all over again.

  • Your up tempo version is good, I love this song.

  • damn it i wish i can learn this song!!ure brilliant!!! :PP

  • oh, la bella ciudad de treno...

  • this is the version i'm learning =D

  • it really looks better in that tempo

  • Excellent!! LOVED IT!! =D

  • Best treno piano video on youtube :D

    5 stars ! <3

I got an EXCLUSIVE nostalgic feeling from that song :(

    FF forever :D <3

  • you think this is fast. Check out my video of this. NOt the one I play on the grand piano, the otehr one

  • i have the music sheets of that

  • Lay off the sustain pedal, and its perfect

  • daaaaaaamn i want these sheets. The arrangement by Arnold Morrison looks very similar but the sheets are terrible quality for printing out.

  • reminds me of zidane and amarant duken it out by the auction house.

  • niiiiiiiiiiiiiice :D

  • i mean i guess*

  • i guest not. u played it .4 times faster.

  • i actually have a video of this which is very fast. its on my electric piano. I also have a vid on a grand which is slower like this

  • hey are you the legendary pianist mario valino?

  • I totally agree- it had the "oomph" that should be there. Sounds great!

  • Damn, it is just too bad that you don't have the sheets. Any way you can possibly make a midi of this and create sheets off of that?

  • I adore the tempo you chose to use, wonderful rendition!

  • This is the first video I have seen of Treno played with real soul and "omph"!

  • Hehe no problem. Thanks anyhow. :)

  • Would you mind e-mailing me this arrangement? I play a much simpler version but would love to enhance it like you have done.

    kaggypants@hotmail

  • ehhh sorry I dont have it anymore....

for some reason I can still play this from memory...and its been so many years....

  • ahaha i love this song

u play the same arrangement as me =D

  • would you happen to be able to tell me where you found this arrangement sheet music?

  • Loving your piano hehe

  • i could actually see the dark streets of treno while you were playing!!!

  • awesome Man I can play that song but not as good as you

    Gr8 job m8

  • this is my favourite song out of final fantasy IX and i thought that you played it amazingly!

  • Personally. I think this sounds much better the way you played it. I don't know why, I can actually listen to this version with joy than I can the other one.

    Great job. :D

  • i was amazed by your playing. a quicker tempo sounds nice too! :) yay!

  • so wht if its faster, sounds just as good, ur rlly rlly good! wish i cud find tht same sheet music :)

  • sigh....why dont ppl read the vid descriptions

  • love it

    watch my nature vid

  • but still good though

  • way too fast, and not played like the real version

  • ur inredible!!!i im your fan and nobuo's!!!i saw your video playing one winged angel and i was speechless!!!ur the best!!!

  • It's played faster than the cd (there's a cd for those who didn't know of Nobuo Uematsu playing this on piano) and it's played perfectly

  • Negative.

Being a fanatic of FF Music, I own OSTs 7-12, and Piano Collections 7-10, as well as the FFIX OST Plus.

He played it faster than any of the other times I've heard it on CD.

  • if you were a fanatic, you would have ff6's, just saying

  • OMFG!!IM UR BIGGEST FAN!!this piece is so damn difficult n u played it perfectly..truly speechless..

  • thanks a lot :) hehe, and thx for the subscription

  • sweeeeet

  • Fucking perfect. It sounds so close to the actual game. 5 stars.

  • Damn, You're very skilled!!!! ^_^

  • hmm well its not as good as the orginal you should try doing the original one as well

  • nearly perfect !

  • Damn you really nailed this theme this is one of my favourite songs in the game and you make it sounds so good. nice one

    Drummer-Dan

  • no it is NOT your fav

  • I agree it should be faster, and this is my favorite version of it I have ever heard :-D GREAT JOB!!

  • great performance sounds nice

  • send it to me gazzilbrush@aol.com or hotmail.com ty thats brill

  • lol cool ^_^ FAV+

  • Would you mind sending to Agizor@gmail.com? Greatly appreciated :) ... Great playing by the way. It's all Final Fantasy... what more can you ask for.

  • k I think I sent it already, but my brother restarted the laptop shortly after, so Im not sure, it you've received it. tell me if you havent.

  • I found the sheets for this o_O. Except for some reason they went on for longer.

  • oh ya man, i found mine too, lol

ya, theres like a repeat somewhere.

I realized when i found it that I played it while leaving some notes out, particularly the ones that i cant really reach. oh well...it sounds good enough anyway

  • could you send me a copy too if its not too late its pjmichelle5@hotmial.com

  • can you send it to me please?

    crimemob_lilbussa@yahoo.com

    you play really well

  • This version is probably more exciting than both of the versions, yes, I agree the faster tempo does give it a sleepless city atmospheric affect.

  • Ya man I totally agree.

I never understood why it was chosen for the piano collections arrangement to reflect a ragtime sort of feel. The original sheet for this arrangement also had explicitly "Ragtime feel, not fast"

To me, it just doesnt sound right at all

  • perfect!

  • thank u sooooo much!! ^^ it is relli appreciated..

  • sorry dude, its been like more than a week.

lol, I've been kinda busy lately, but I just emailed it to you.

Anyone else who wants this sheet music, just give me an email and i'll send it to you :D

  • my email is: xkodji@yahoo.co.uk

  • it shouldnt take more than another week sorry.

  • WOW!! You are good... can I have da score, please?

  • ya sure.

    leave an email.

I will write the score some time soon

  • Heh, the intro was the same tempo as the piano collections. Then when you got to the differently arranged part. BAM faster. Hehe I like that. That's a sweet arrangment.

  • Yes....I probably should have kept it the same tempo....but it felt cooler, like a slower intro, and then BAM, lol.

Ya, i dont have the sheet anymore, its been memorized for like 5 or so years now.

want me to write it for you?

  • You could, but I don't want you to go through the trouble. It's mostly because I don't desperately want the sheets. So I don't have to waste your time. ^^. But you did a dam good job on this though.

  • you know actually, for some reason I have to memorize really well....but some day I'm gonna forget it, so I'm planning to write it out anyway. Do you know any programs that can like construct pieces....or do I really have to write it on paper?

Ya anyway, I think i'll do it sometime later, I'll send you it when its done eh?

  • wow thats great

  • dunno yet, it's gonna take a while tho..

  • Good job, I like this song and I'm still learning it now...

  • thx a lot,

do you plan to post it?
