I'd love annother series of life on mars as it was one of the best tv series ever broadcast, but it wouldn't work; Unlike our american cousins who kick out hundreds of eppisodes of popular shows like friends ect, The Brittish know when to stop and keep a good thing, well good.( This theory seems to work accross the board if you get me ). Looking foreward to ashes to ashes though and the return of gene hunt: England's best copper?!!,"?"
What a stupid vid - you seriously need to get a life! Why is there no 3rd series? Because John Simm chose his family over another long shoot in Manchester. Great show but 2 series is plenty (and, I think the Ashes to Ashes rehash idea is a really stupid one). Good call John! I look forward to seeing his future work (and am presently revisiting some of his past stuff such as The Lakes).
and also the story line of life on mars was he was trapped in 1973 and he got back to 2007 and he jumped off a building sending him to stay in 1973 forever without all of that stuff about him being trapped and that was the hole story line
just do a list on the screw ball decisions The Boobs of the Barmy Beeb, made. From wiping most of their early shows to scratching LoM it would make a good vid
Yes there is going to be a spin off? It will be based in the Nineties in Rotherham. It's going to be called Hello Space Boy (Another David Bowie song).
herrkamel, I certainly understand the spirit in which you made this video -a sincere disappointment at seeing such a fine (and popular)series end! I'm with you!
But in all fairness, I don't think it was the BBC who wanted it to stop.
Now if you can only make a video convincing John Simm...get right on that, will you? Thanks :-)
i bought the first series seeing as i didnt watch it until the second series and have only had it a week and have watched them all twice and know all the words which is quite scary but im lovin it too much
I was really looking forward to Ashes to ashes until i learnt it was just the same as life on mars but with a woman :( we know the secret, she'll be in a coma!
It told me box sets not out till bloody september, only had to go and buy both the bloody series didn't I, oh what the heck, I'll keep it for life. As for Ashes, Philip is very VERY brave reprising his Gene Hunt role, don't let me down Philip, because right now, Gene is a legend, lets keep it that way.
This was really one of the best series ever! I'm already missing it. I would love to see a follow up, but without Sam Tyler/John Simm it wouldn't make much sense. I think the whole crew must return, only then it will be great. So it really should be series 3, instead of a spin-of.
no worries!!! They made two endings!!! But they chose the one they did so they can make a whole bunch of new series'!!! So u can expect to see lots more of Sam and Gene!!!
Yeah, Simm doesn't like playing a role for too long. It may have been over kill...I dunno. I'll miss it though after tonight. Thank God for DVD's and they didn't have them in the 70's!
when does that start?? shud be good... actually seeing as thou 'sam tyler' stayed bak in 70s in the end do u reckon this ashes to ashes thing will have him in it?
ashes 2 ashes was good but life on mars was the original & best

Was that the Starsky and Hutch theme Tune?
Markdorman 4 years ago
Ja haha NO not Starsky & Hutch,
it's from "The Streets of San Francisco".
It was a US cop show in the 70's
starring Karl Malden as Detective Lt. Mike Stone.
and Michael Douglas as Inspector Steve Keller.
it ran from 1972 - 1977, Nominated for 3 Golden Globes.
But still Not as good a Life on Mars !!!
