Wht a wonderful night! I saw this concert live in Essen 1981. In that moment (7:49) the whole audience went blind :-) THX @burscheidmax for uploading!
Does anybody know the name of the bass, John Entwhistle is playing here?
this was the VERY FIRST concert i recorded on my brand spanking new BETAMAX (get me!) video recorder in Feb 1981. And rarely if ever has a tv concert recording come close. And it was presented, on BBC2, Saturday night primetime - like that could happen today - by the very wonderfiul Annie Nightingale. Look for the great version of 5.15 from the same show.
@germanvigilante john entwistle is playing an alembec explorer.

The guitar exchange at 3.20 was as fast as a guitar can be swapped, plus Pete was right on with the singing.....
I#m not sure but does anyone else hear this 2. guitar playing in the background ?
There is a clean guitar where Pete actually plays a kinda solo or something else.
Was this a playback, or was s.o. backing him ?

@dockaiser The backing track has the synthesizer and acoustic guitar on it.

I recorded this entire concert on VHS when first broadcast many years ago.
Sadly the tape and VHS machine are no more. Can anyone help me locate another copy either to buy or download.
