@candiceevans1 John 8:58&59, "Jesus said unto them, Verily, verily, I say unto you, Before Abraham was, I am. Then took they up stones to cast at him: but Jesus hid himself, and went out of the temple, going through the midst of them, and so passed by.
Listen, what the hell is God doing playing hide and seek? You'd think God Almighty, All-Powerful, Most High, Most Great, Majestic, Magnificent could proclaim who He was and hold his ground in front of a far more inferior creation.
How could people follow a religion which has more versions of it than there are religions , christians are following books re-written by other people and its clear and obvious in the sentences that the words are written by a human being...
Thank you Nicholas, and may that spirit always be pervading ignorance, Pervading any form that distorts Him... We born of Adam know of many way to do so ... All of us... Isn't the way He speaks the one that brings us together?
@jalmusallam wrong, 1 john 2:22,i can put more but i think this one should be enough, muslims and christian do not workship the same god, no matter what u want to think, the bible is clear. Telling the truth is that, telling the truth, as peter did when he preached or as paul did when he talked to the jews and pagans in rome, greece, etc.
BIBLE: “And Peter opened his mouth and said: ‘Truly I perceive that God shows no partiality, but in every nation any one who fears him and does what is right is acceptable to him.’” Acts 10:34,35
To say that God took three manifestations, father, son and holy spirit is against the concept of a God. A God manages his affairs without having to transform or divide himself. A God has to act like a God. If He wants to bestow his mercy on anyone, he would do it with no transformation.
So, I hope Christians understands that Islam is about calling for worshipping the creator of the universe who does not have to come down to earth in the form of a human, bet crucified, raise himself in order to grant salvation to humans. He would simply grant humans salvation without having to transform himself. The transformation of God into Christ is a scenario created by humans as they fear the afterlife. The trinity principle is also originally pagan.
Jesus being the word of God cannot at all be interpreted as the son of God. Every thing is the word of God. In the Quraan God says: His (God) command, is He wants anything, is to address it by saying: Be! and it is . "Be" is the word of God. In this way, Christ is like any being, the word of God, not His son. As for the Yousuf Ali translation of "innama" as no more, it is correct, although I would rather use "but" as follows: The Messaiah, son of Mary, is BUT the Messenger of Allah and His word"
@celes We must understand the mind of a Muslim. He is not at will to think freely. To do so will put his life in peril (danger). Islam brands all its free-thinkers “Apostates”, kills them, or threatens them. Salman Rushdie—“The Satanic Verses”, Wafa Sultan—“Clash of Civilizations”. In Quran 3:54 Allah calls himself “The best of schemers” while Quran 4:142 reads, “…It is Allah who deceives them.” All Muslims are to read the verses this way: “Allah is the best of truth and deceives no one.”
@tadp Tell me the truth. What does “one” mean when you say, “Say he is one and only”? (Q. 112:1) The question is not one of dumbness. It is a sound and a reasonable question. If we must replace the Holy Trinity with the “Oneness of Allah”, you must explain to us the “Oneness of Allah”. What do you mean when you say, “one”? Do you mean “one” as in “water is one”, but it is made of hydrogen and oxygen (H2O)? Or one Atom with three subatomic particles: Protons, Neutron, and Electron?
@123dsj123 "Do you mean “one” as in “water is one”, but it is made of hydrogen and oxygen (H2O)? Or one Atom with three subatomic particles: Protons, Neutron, and Electron?"
I'll get to your question, but I find it extremely odd water and and an atom are used to help explain God's being. I'd hate to think you're trying to draw a comparison between creation and Creator, so I'll give you the benefit of the doubt. Also, the explanation is unfounded Biblically. Most Christians simply plead mystery.
@123dsj123 One simply represents the belief that no one has a share in God's Lordship, i.e., Him being the Creator, Owner, and Sustainer of the entire creation, that no one shares in His right to be worshipped, i.e., all forms of worship are due to Him alone and worship directed to other than Him is false, and that no one shares in His absolute and perfect names and attributes, i.e., He is the Incomparable. The trinity is in clear violation of these principles.
@tadpole You wrote: “One simply represents the belief that no one has a share in God's Lordship.” Don’t tell me that. Tell it to the Quran in which both Allah and Muhammad are sharers in the lordship of matters concerning the believers. Q. 33:36 reads, “It is not fitting for a Believer, man or woman, when a matter has been decided by Allah and His Messenger to have any option about their decision.” That is like saying, “Do not question God and Mrs. Sarah Smith’s decision on a matter.”
@123dsj123 "Tell it to the Quran in which both Allah and Muhammad are sharers in the lordship of matters concerning the believers."
I'm stuck thinking you went ahead and self-interpretted the Quran. However, I do love giving the benefit of the doubt, so I won't accuse you of such. A legislative matter would have most definitely reached Muhammad (SAWS) by way of revelation and consequently conveyed to his companions. It would seem very odd for him to have disagreed with God's decision.
@tadpol I had written: “…so that the Person of Jesus had two natures: The Nature of God and the Nature of Man.” You responded, “Actually, psychiatrists would be prescribing some type of medication that would assist in alleviating the disorder.” I do not doubt that. They would do the same thing for the spirit and man nature of Muhammad’s angel: Quran 19:17 reads “So she took a veil (to screen herself) from them; then We sent to her Our spirit, and there appeared to her a well-made man.”
@123dsj123 "Quran 19:17 reads “So she took a veil (to screen herself) from them; then We sent to her Our spirit, and there appeared to her a well-made man.”"
Umm, you wouldn't be self-interpretting the Quran again, would you? I hoped not.
@tadpol You wrote: “I find it extremely odd water and an atom are used to help explain God's being. I'd hate to think you're trying to draw a comparison between creation and Creator.” You missed the question. If the question was “What is Allah,” your answer would be appropriate in that the question attempts to portray a comparison between creation and Creator. But the question is not “What is Allah”, but “What is one?” — As in “Say he is one…” (Q. 112:1)
@123dsj123 "Do you mean “one” as in “water is one”, but it is made of hydrogen and oxygen (H2O)? Or one Atom with three subatomic particles: Protons, Neutron, and Electron?"
You may remember those words. Those were examples given by a certain someone in order to further clarify what was intended by the inquisition. Both examples are of created things and thus fail in respect to the Creator since He is unlike anything. Next time try the egg. Well, maybe you shouldn't.
@tadpole You do not seem to understand God. And I do not blame you. Let me explain. There is only one God. This one God is a Spirit — a One Spirit Entity. Within (or inside) this One Spirit Entity are three separate and distinct Natures: The Nature of a Father, the Nature of a Word, and the Nature of a Spirit. It is the Nature of a Word that clothed Himself in human flesh and dwelled among man — so that the Person of Jesus had two natures: The Nature of God and the Nature of Man.
@tadpo You use words to describe Allah — words such as merciful and compassion. When we ask you to explain merciful and compassion, you do not say, “Allah is unlike anything.” Instead you explain what is meant by merciful and compassion. You use another words to describe Allah — the word “one”. Our aim is for you to explain the word “one”, which you used to describe Allah just as you explained merciful and compassion —words you used to describe Allah.
@123dsj123 "You use words to describe Allah — words such as merciful and compassion."
God's Oneness is maintained in the three categories I described to you. As far as god being merciful and compassionate, yes, He is, His mercy and compassion cannot be compared to any other's.
@tadpo Q. 33:36 reads, “It is not fitting for a Believer, man or woman, when a matter has been decided by Allah and His Messenger to have any option about their decision.” You responded, “A legislative matter would have most definitely reached Muhammad (SAWS) by way of revelation and consequently conveyed to his companions. It would seem very odd for him to have disagreed with God's decision.” The verse did not imply God’s decision, but “their decision.” It’s Allan & Muhammad’s decision.
@tadpo You wrote: “One simply represents the belief that no one has a share in God’s Lordship.” I showed you Q. 33:36 which reads, “It is not fitting for a Believer, when a matter has been decided by Allah and His Messenger to have any option about their decision.” I made emphasis on “their decision” in the verse, which means a joint decision of both Allah and Muhammad. You responded: “Just hoping God and His prophet were on the same page still.” Well, same page = a share in Allah’s Lordship.
@tadpol You wrote: “Yeah, and 3=1.” Of course 3=1. This is proven not only logically, but also scientifically. Pure Light is one. But it is the combination of (1) green, (2) red, and (3) yellow lights. Atom is one. It is made of three sub-atomic particles: (1) Protons, (2) electrons, and (3) neutrons. Time is one: Yet it is expressed in (1) past, (2) present, and (3) future. Now show us anything that is a “one” without plurality or multiplicity within.
@tadpole The word “compare” means to examine the characteristics of two or more things in order to discover resemblance or differences. The word “liken” means to make suitable or agreeable two or more things. When I use the atom with its three sub-atomic particles (Protons, Neutrons, and Electrons) to describe God, I do not liken God unto the atom, but rather I compare God unto the atom. To liken God unto the atom is insanity (madness). To compare God unto the atom make good sense.
@ta You asked: “If the Proton, Neutron, or Electrons dies, is it still an atom?” The atom is comparable to God because it comprises plurality of three within. Within one atom are three natures: protons, neutrons, and electrons. Within one God are three Natures: Father, Word of God, and Spirit. Something of the atom may die, but nothing of God dies. On the Cross it is the clothing (human body) that “Word of God” wore or put on that died. Word of God Himself did not die — only His clothing died.
@123dsj123 "The atom is comparable to God because it comprises plurality of three within."
If God is unlike anything, then how in the world do you continue to use this atom theory? A created atom is made up of three parts. Does that mean we can use its example to explain the Creator? No! It's created. The Creator is uncreated. Whether you're comparing or likening, it doesn't work. God is not a law firm. He is One without associates. Jesus didn't use that bogus atom argument for good reason.
@tadp You asked: “If God is unlike anything, then how in the world do you continue to use this atom theory?” The answer is simple — very simple. Quran 112:4 reads, “None is comparable to him.” When you compare, you do one or two things — you either draw similarities between two or more things, or you draw dissimilarities between two or more things. The statement “Allah is unlike anything” is as equal a comparison as the statement “Allah is like something.”
@tadpol Quran 112:4reads, “None is comparable to him.” This verse is both a true statement and a false statement. When you compare, you draw similarities between two or more things. When you compare, you also draw dissimilarities between two or more things. When you say, “Allah is unlike anything” you are comparing Allah is everything else. This makes Quran 112:4 a false statement, because it says, “None is comparable to him.” You just compare Allah by saying, “Allah is unlike anything.”
@tadpo You compare Allah to everything else when you say, “Allah is unlike anything.” This makes Quran 112:4 a false statement, because it says, “None is comparable to him.” However, the word “compare” also means “to draw similarities between two or more things. While God and the atom are dissimilar, God and the atom are also similar in that they both are one in which three nature dwell. Atom: protons, neutrons, and electrons. God: Father, Word of God, and Spirit.
@123dsj123 "When you compare, you do one or two things — you either draw similarities between two or more things, or you draw dissimilarities between two or more things."
In this case, you're drawing similarities between an atom and God. One is created and the other is the Almighty, Supreme, Majestic, Most-High, Most Great Creator of everything. The One whom no one and nothing can be compared. The One who shares no similarities with anything. The One who has no equal or co-equal.
@tad I said this: "When you compare, you do one or two things — you either draw similarities between two or more things, or you draw dissimilarities between two or more things." You wrote: “In this case, you're drawing similarities between an atom and God. One is created and the other is the Almighty…the One whom no one and nothing can be compared.” Not true. You and Allah are comparable to each other in the sense that you two are living. You two have a mind, a will, and an emotion.
@tadpo You understand comparison in terms of equality whereby when you compared one thing to another, you make them equal to each other. This is not necessarily true. In Q. 37:125 Allah compares himself to the idol god Baal while insisting that he (Allah) is the better of the two gods. It reads, "Will ye call upon Baal and forsake the Best of Creators. Notice “creators” is plural. In this comparison Allah acknowledges Baal as a creator, but an inferior creator than he (Allah).
@123dsj123 Are you done fooling yourself and are ready to accept Islam or will you continue to tread the path of those who over-exaggerated in their praise of Jesus the son of Mary?
It is very strange that the guys in the video are using the Quraan which they believe was composed by Prophet Muhammad (pbuh) to prove the (false) deity of Christ. Prophet Muhammad made it clear that we Muslims are waiting for Jesus to descend from heaven. The Quraan separates God as a concept from all his messengers, inclusing Jesus. As for sin in Islam, every human being has a passage to God. He/she can directly ask for forgiveness and atone for their sins. No one is responsible for another.
lol why are people looking at Qur'anic exegetical works from people like Sam Shamoun and David Wood?
Hasn't that made you think, erm..what am I doing, how about I ask the best people to do this, top scholars?, instead of coming to Sam and David for their attempts.
Remember they will always try to explain a half full cup...half empty.
@oombuddah are the references and evidence they give incorrect?I have checked and they seem spot on.More so than with muslim so called scholars who will try to make it fit when it clearly doesnt.
3) Never will the Jews nor the Christians be pleased with you (O Muhammad Peace be upon him ) till you follow their religion. Say: "Verily, the Guidance of Allah (i.e. Islamic Monotheism) that is the (only) Guidance. And if you (O Muhammad Peace be upon him ) were to follow their (Jews and Christians) desires after what you have received of Knowledge (i.e. the Quran), then you would have against Allah neither any Walee (protector or guardian) nor any helper. (Chapter #2, Verse #120)
In another verse of the Quran, Jesus confirmed the validity of the Torah which was revealed to Moses, and also conveyed he glad tidings of a final Messenger who follow him: "And when Jesus son of Mary said, 'Children of Israel, I am indeed the Messenger to you, confirming the Torah that is before me, and giving good tiding of a Messenger who shall be the praised one."(As-Saff 61:6)
"And when God said, 'O Jesus, son of Mary, did you say unto men, "Take me and my mother as gods, apart from God"? He said, 'To you be glory! It is not mine to say what I have no right to. If I indeed said it, you would have known it, knowing what is within my heart, though I do not know your knowledge; you know the things unseen. I only said to them what you did commands me: "Serve God, my God and your God." (Al-Maida 5-116)
The Quran rejects the concept of Trinity God the Father, God the son, God the Holy Spirit - as strongly as it rejects the concept of Jesus as the son of God. This is because GOD IS ONE. Three cannot be one. The Quran addresses Christians in the following verses from the Surrah entitled "An-Nisaa" (The Women)
@libyano101 Even as GOD created man, soul, body and spirit which is three distinct parts each having its own unique function of one whole...GOD is FATHER, SON, HOLY SPIRIT, three distinct parts of One GOD. Every knee will bow and every tongue will confess that JESUS CHRIST the SON of the living GOD is LORD. HalleluYah! I pray that GOD will have mercy upon you that you may receive the real and living Truth.
@libyano101 thats funny, the only time it rejects the trinity is a false idea, God, jesus and mary, no Christian dream of having mary in it, so allah if this who sent this didnt know the trinity, but person i think this is muhammads own through, he heard or seen something that resembled this
@followerofjesus1984 and even then it still another problem, the verse equates the 3 as 3 Gods, this is also a misunderstanding, we dont worship three Gods but 1 who is 3 persons
"And they say, The All-merciful has taken unto Himself a son. You have indeed advanced something hideous. As if the skies are about to burst, the earth to split asunder and its mountain to fall down in the utter ruin for that they have attributed to the All-merciful a son; and behaves not the All-merciful to take a son. None there in the heavens and earth but comes to the All-merciful as a servant" (Maryam 19:88-93)
Satan will try anything to try and sway the true believers of Allah. My Muslim sisters and brothers be careful Satan will say when he is locked up in the hellfire that he had no power over you, he will say that he only whispers to deceive you, but it's your own hearts who will lead you to the fire!
You are so mislead, that what you say make some kind of sense to you! So if Jesus is God then who did Jesus pray to before he was put on the cross, himself? And why must Almighty God need the blood of his own to save the world? Isnt God strong enough to redeem anyone without killing himself or raising himself up to as you say (Kingdom of Heaven) The God I serve is not the God that needs to sacrifice his beloved in the hands of his enemies? The God I serve is Merciful!
ur liying on face of us u cnt even translate Quran ur a big lyer and talking like kids grow up stop lie

@123dsj123 Isiah 40:25, "To whom then will you liken Me That I would be his equal?" says the Holy One. The Holy One said that, not the three in one.
tadpoleposition 3 months ago
@tadpole The word “compare” means to examine the characteristics of two or more things in order to discover resemblance or differences. The word “liken” means to make suitable or agreeable two or more things. When I use the atom with its three sub-atomic particles (Protons, Neutrons, and Electrons) to describe God, I do not liken God unto the atom, but rather I compare God unto the atom. To liken God unto the atom is insanity (madness). To compare God unto the atom make good sense.
123dsj123 3 months ago
@123dsj123 "To compare God unto the atom make good sense."
If either the Proton, Neutron, or Electrons dies, then is it still called an atom?
tadpoleposition 3 months ago

123dsj123 3 months ago
@tadpol Quran 112:4reads, “None is comparable to him.” This verse is both a true statement and a false statement. When you compare, you draw similarities between two or more things. When you compare, you also draw dissimilarities between two or more things. When you say, “Allah is unlike anything” you are comparing Allah is everything else. This makes Quran 112:4 a false statement, because it says, “None is comparable to him.” You just compare Allah by saying, “Allah is unlike anything.”

@123dsj123 "This makes Quran 112:4 a false statement,..."
...and the verses in the Bible that state the same thing? Are they false statements too? You're making little sense, if none at all.
tadpoleposition 3 months ago

The One who has no equal or co-equal.
tadpoleposition 3 months ago
@tad I said this: "When you compare, you do one or two things — you either draw similarities between two or more things, or you draw dissimilarities between two or more things." You wrote: “In this case, you're drawing similarities between an atom and God. One is created and the other is the Almighty…the One whom no one and nothing can be compared.” Not true. You and Allah are comparable to each other in the sense that you two are living. You two have a mind, a will, and an emotion.
123dsj123 3 months ago
@tadpo You understand comparison in terms of equality whereby when you compared one thing to another, you make them equal to each other. This is not necessarily true. In Q. 37:125 Allah compares himself to the idol god Baal while insisting that he (Allah) is the better of the two gods. It reads, "Will ye call upon Baal and forsake the Best of Creators. Notice “creators” is plural. In this comparison Allah acknowledges Baal as a creator, but an inferior creator than he (Allah).

@123dsj123 Are you done fooling yourself and are ready to accept Islam or will you continue to tread the path of those who over-exaggerated in their praise of Jesus the son of Mary?
tadpoleposition 3 months ago
It is very strange that the guys in the video are using the Quraan which they believe was composed by Prophet Muhammad (pbuh) to prove the (false) deity of Christ. Prophet Muhammad made it clear that we Muslims are waiting for Jesus to descend from heaven. The Quraan separates God as a concept from all his messengers, inclusing Jesus. As for sin in Islam, every human being has a passage to God. He/she can directly ask for forgiveness and atone for their sins. No one is responsible for another.

It is very simple but you are frightened to accept it as true

lol why are people looking at Qur'anic exegetical works from people like Sam Shamoun and David Wood?

(Chapter #2, Verse #120)
libyano101 1 year ago
@libyano101 the koran is the only book to mention 'religion'. The bible doesnt, the torah doesnt. Why is that?

Whoever speaks about the Quran without knowledge, should prepare for his place in the Fire.

The Quran addresses Christians in the following verses from the Surrah entitled "An-Nisaa" (The Women)
libyano101 1 year ago
@libyano101 Even as GOD created man, soul, body and spirit which is three distinct parts each having its own unique function of one whole...GOD is FATHER, SON, HOLY SPIRIT, three distinct parts of One GOD. Every knee will bow and every tongue will confess that JESUS CHRIST the SON of the living GOD is LORD. HalleluYah! I pray that GOD will have mercy upon you that you may receive the real and living Truth.
SweetBeloved2 1 year ago
@libyano101 thats funny, the only time it rejects the trinity is a false idea, God, jesus and mary, no Christian dream of having mary in it, so allah if this who sent this didnt know the trinity, but person i think this is muhammads own through, he heard or seen something that resembled this
followerofjesus1984 1 year ago

In the Holy Bible, I believe that pit he's locked in,
is a lifeless earth. The righteous will be in
heaven for a thousand years. After which
the earth's remade, the dead revived,
and Satan loosed to deceive "a little
season."
