I had seen it on tv but never tried it - was skeptical. Then my mother in law brought some over for my wife. I tried some on the sly to clear up my face before a big conference and it worked fast.
At first I thought proactive wasn't working, but then I realized I was using it wrong. It does work. When they say to cleanse the skin for 1 to 2 minutes... They mean it. And you have to rub it on very gently preferrably with just 2 fingers. I massage the cleanser on my skin for 2 minutes or else it doesn't work for me. If it still doesn't work, there's an extra strength kit.... which I use because I had very bad acne. Hope I helped someone

First of all acne is INTERNAL. you need to drink water and eat well. Also, proactiv is bad for your skin and creates oxidative stress on your skin..... it also dries out your skin and changes the ph level and that actually makes your skin worse, and you dont break out only because you are layering medicine on top of medicine and your skin becomes dependent on it..........
GUYS! i've been using the proactive face mask for months and i've got less acne and pimples than i did b4. those 3 steps craps r useless i only use that face maks when i got pimple or acne just dab and cover it on the effected area and not ur whole face

For proactiv to work you have to be consistent and know how to use it properly. Skipping applications or scrubbing too hard with the cleanser will make it not work like it's supposed to.

@heartwar200 yea. my sister started this beauty course. she's just starting to learn about nails, waxing, skin stuff and that and they were talking about proactiv and they said that its not good for ur skin. it doesnt matter if it works for u or not, there r some ingredients in there that r bad for ur skin so if u keep using something like proactiv, by the time ur in ur 30s, you'll look like ur in ur 60s. and they also said that clearasil should not be touch cause of the ingredients.
It's a scam. They sell you a MEMBERSHIP, a SERVICE, a SYSTEM, and keep sending you the stuff and charging your credit card and it is hard to cancel. Stay clear of this Gunthy-Renker company is my advice. This is marketing out of control.
@MimSkellington i think proactiv would work if you had surface acne , but if you were like me when i tried this stuff, it didnt work at all. if you have acne that is physically painful and the bumps are large/hard and hurt everytime you touch them, you have cystic acne - these grow under the skin and cannot be treated topically (aka - with cleansers and lotions) . you need to be treated internally -i.e.: antibiotics, birth control (if ur girl), accutane, diet, etc. :)

I hav mild acne all ovr and I just started using Proactiv 3 days ago but i havent seen any results. Does anyone know hen your acne supposed to start to go down? it don't work for everybody so don't buy it with high-hopes. personally i don't mess with proactiv because it dried my skin out badly.
but i do believe some people are being lazy with acne-products. you have to use it day in & day out. you just can't use it for 2 days and then on the 3rd day say "i don't have time for this".
you won't see a big change until 3 weeks in. just take your time. about in a month your face will be clear but it depends on the product.

This Product is good but not for everybody. I used this for about 6 months and nothing happened. Later i went to a dermatologist and he gave me medicine that really helped me cure my acne. So the better way to dissapear or control acne is going to a dermatologist. He needs to treat your skin and acne type. It might be expensive, but it's the best choice.

For $2.99 at Albertsons/Sav-on, you can buy a tube of Mud
by "Queen Helena." Mint Julep. They also have a brown and an egg yellow which prob. work too, but never tried. It lasts for about 6 months to 1 year and it's works better than the best medicine i've received from the best dermatologists in the world. Or a Mud that's a little bit better but more expensive, about $42 is by a company called "Nu Skin," Glacial Marine Mud.

i dont have extremely bad acne but i always have at least one zit on my face
i decided to try this product and i love it!
it works great!
the only bad thing is that it makes my skin kind of dry:/
but just using a good skin cream fixed that problem!

I don't understand why it shows them putting make-up on her face in this commercial. Isn't it supposed to show that she doesn't need it since proactiv will apparently clear up your face? Proactiv sucks.

the first 2 months are the worst with proactive...i almost stopped using it bc my skin got so dry...but i stuck with it and now my acne has cleared up SOOO good. i love it. i tried everything and this was the only thing that has worked for me. my skin doesnt get dry anymore its perfect!!

This shit does not work, it's garbage..It totally irritated my skin because it was too harsh for me. I cleared my break outs by using home made products-.- It's natural, and easy way and it won't leave any mark so........I don't recommend proactiv for sensitive skinned people

For proactiv to work you have to be consistent and know how to use it properly. Skipping applications or scrubbing too hard with the cleanser will make it not work like it's supposed to.

@heartwar200 yea. my sister started this beauty course. she's just starting to learn about nails, waxing, skin stuff and that and they were talking about proactiv and they said that its not good for ur skin. it doesnt matter if it works for u or not, there r some ingredients in there that r bad for ur skin so if u keep using something like proactiv, by the time ur in ur 30s, you'll look like ur in ur 60s. and they also said that clearasil should not be touch cause of the ingredients.

@MimSkellington i think proactiv would work if you had surface acne , but if you were like me when i tried this stuff, it didnt work at all. if you have acne that is physically painful and the bumps are large/hard and hurt everytime you touch them, you have cystic acne - these grow under the skin and cannot be treated topically (aka - with cleansers and lotions) . you need to be treated internally -i.e.: antibiotics, birth control (if ur girl), accutane, diet, etc. :)

ok, heres the thing with proactive. It works, but it burns and drys out your skin. the results are amazing though. i highly recommend you use the the oil free moisturizer from proactive as a 4th step. Proactive works but u got to use it every morning when u wake up and before u go to sleep. DONT EVER MISS ONE NIGHT OR MORNING OR YOUR ACNE WILL GO BACK TO HOW IT STATED OFF BEFORE.

it don't work for everybody so don't buy it with high-hopes. personally i don't mess with proactiv because it dried my skin out badly.
but i do believe some people are being lazy with acne-products. you have to use it day in & day out. you just can't use it for 2 days and then on the 3rd day say "i don't have time for this".
you won't see a big change until 3 weeks in. just take your time. about in a month your face will be clear but it depends on the product.

This Product is good but not for everybody. I used this for about 6 months and nothing happened. Later i went to a dermatologist and he gave me medicine that really helped me cure my acne. So the better way to dissapear or control acne is going to a dermatologist. He needs to treat your skin and acne type. It might be expensive, but it's the best choice.

by "Queen Helena." Mint Julep. They also have a brown and an egg yellow which prob. work too, but never tried. It lasts for about 6 months to 1 year and it's works better than the best medicine i've received from the best dermatologists in the world. Or a Mud that's a little bit better but more expensive, about $42 is by a company called "Nu Skin," Glacial Marine Mud.
