@softballpitcher815 You don't feel the spinning like say tea cups its more like your in a car going 1oo mph so you get pushed back to your seat. If you can ride rock and roller coaster then you will be fine on orange team.

@animythfameEm its like a dumbo there are arms that come off a large pole. When it comes time it spins so you feel the g forces. It also tilts up down left right

Does Harry Potter and the forbidden journey come close to this? this sounds sillly now that i actually am writing it but if i went on the harry potter ride, could i handle mission space (the green team)

this is really important ive always wanted to become and engineering astronaught but it seems unrealistic because i get sick on every ride. I've never even been on a roller coaster but i soooo want to try this out next time i go back!! (possibly gratuation or closer?)

@animythfameEm yes, if u can handle FJ then mission space green will not even be close to all the tilting and motion FJ does. The orange team is the same just adds the spinning. You should try out space shuttle experience at NASA Kennedy Space Center

i wish there were accurate SS Launch Simulators. Throttle up came WAAY to quicky and booster seperation was to early. i want the ride to be at least 8 minutes in the launch process. More shaking and more intense sound. Now thats a good ride!

This is my ABSOLUTE favorite attraction at EPCOT. One reason is Gary Sinise. He is one of my favorite actors. No other actor would do this attraction justice... ESPECIALLY since he did the movie "Mission to Mars.". Thanks Gary.

Ok guys this is for real! the milder side was no big deal actuially pretty cool. but the next day me and my girl went on the stronger side and man it felt like a brick was dropped on our chest beetween her screamin and crying I thought I was going to have a heart attack. felt really sick afterwards did not puke but just not right. Im prob going to my doctor tomorrow just to get a check up.

@CookiessNeedMilk Ive ridden this just about every-time I go to Epcot which is a lot. Ive only seen a handful of people mostly adults who look like they will throw up after riding it. Some people are like that. If not on the ground straight they get dizzy or feel sick easily. If your healthy and have no motion sickness or other medical condition you will be fine on this ride. Don't close your eyes or look left and right when on the ride look straight at the screen.

@Milkdidmybodygood And if that seems like too much simply go on green, the less intense. The only difference is the launch-you don't spin and your in a laying-down position instead. So it seems like your more likely to fall asleep than vomit!

@izzyrox141 intense training spins so that you feel g forces. Spinning happens when you lift off, orbit around the moon, and land on mars. Have you been on Rock n Roller coaster at Hollywood Studios? the initial launch of the coaster the pushed back n your seat feeling? basically what happens,,, And no I dont think he would be okay on this ride.

I use to work for disney and whenever i went to epcot i rode this. It makes you feel like you are actually going into space. They have you reach zero g's and you feel a lot of pressure! It is a really fun ride. This is directly from the website Mission: SPACE utilizes a multiple-arm centrifuge that spins and tilts to simulate the illusion of speed and gravitational forces. Realistic sounds from overhead and vivid video images only add to the experience of the simulation.

@CookiessNeedMilk there were actual astronauts who went on and said it actually feels like you're going to space which is really cool. the video looks calm because you can't feel what it's doing. basicaly you are in a tiny capsule with 3 other people next to you and a screen less than a foot away from your face. the ride spins so fast that the pressure inside changes and feels as if you are leaving our atmosphere. i went on twice in a row because the line was so short. i loved it but it's crazy.

Great fun! My wife and I were at EPCOT on July 4 2003, when the ride was opened for a public preview - was that good timing, or what? We did the ride and when we walked back outside, we looked at the queue, looked at each other, and tagged on to the end for another ride. Great fun!
