Right, just one question. I just hit a G-Rank Rathalos in the head with a Lvl-3 Charge using Punisher (1296). Now, I have a lot of attack buffs, so my attack is currently 1488. This is way beyond what you said is the requirement for a stagger, but it didn't stagger. Did the values change in Unite?

Well I play the original MH (You can't GS charge in the original) so I'm assuming this works with hammers (You CAN charge with hammers in the original)..

nice! its basic but very efficient. however, u can kill a los with any kind of weapon. its just about timing. i love torturing a los with a lance but sometimes i like to use either a hammer or a GS, coz double the pain double the fun LOL XD

for practising using the "countercharge" (option 5 i thought) try practising on bullfango's, they are not to strong at attacking, but same idea, and speed is to right i thought

1 tip (i think its a good one) dont want to fully charge when he charges at you, just the right timing... better a lvl 2 charge at him and he is taking you down, then he is taking u down only...

(this is what i think, i am 1 that needs to take gravios elder 4* and just taken down tigrex urgent @ guild)

once you beat shen gaoren and you get to HR4 the storage cave in the farm with open and you can use elder dragon bones to mine at the thing in the cave to get dark stone/pieces

after that the "black" weapons will open up for you to make

Just kill a high rank rathian and you'll get a couple of them. Cannot be obtained by slaying a low rank rathian, though.

You can't do it in monster hunter freedom 1, if you do have MHF2 or MHFU then, as said before, just hold triangle and unleash some wrath

Its way easier to hit the head with a hammer, but GS full charges dealing way more damage should get it killed faster if done correct

You have to hold down Triangle 1 glow level 1 charge , bigger glow level 2 charge , biggest glow level 3 charge will let go on its own or do it little earlier and get the full charge still?

I'm trying to make Silver Rathalos Soul armor, I made the helmet so far, it's great armor but the hardest thing is that you need a Rathalos Ruby for each piece, and usingmy only one for the helemt, I am forced to keep fighting Rathalos on all hr levels until I get 4 more rubies.

Haha, I'm fighting an hr 3 Rathalos right now (I'm hr 6) and I just cut his tail off in area 4 of the Forest and Hills and it landed on top of one of the rock formations. Don't you hate when the tail lands off the map so you can't carve it?

If your trying to make Normal Rathalos armor, you'll need Webbings it make it. You can only find them Rathalos' that arnt the Two star guild hall ones. (HR1). For some reason they dont drop them. I suggest doing Elder Troublesome Pair. Good money for start of game and pretty high Webbing drop rate with out breaking wings. Just bring a decent hammer and run it a few times and your bound to get one.

I managed no hit the Rathalos on that last point you showed us, wasn't expecting it seemed to be a lucky shot. I was further back than where u was close to the end and I managed to hit him. He slammed to the ground when he got hit full charge.
