Simply because he knows when he's in a bad position and can't be too aggressive. HSGG gets 3-4 lanekills on his good days but feeds like a boss on his bad days. I don't mean deaths that come out of bad timing/reaction. You simply notice that he's so mad about dying/not getting a kill, that he starts playing overly aggressive.

It's all about which hero you play dude.

How come he still has 482 gold after buying the sapphire crystal at about 5:40? If my calculations are correct, that means the sapphire crystal only cost 270 gold.
@RFOrange7 If you look at the minimap at 5:40, you'll see that HotshotGG's teammates are fighting the dragon. If the dragon got killed around the exact time he bought the crystal, HotshotGG would have lost 400 gold but gained 130 gold from the dragon, getting a 270 gold net loss.

@stunninghKm he focusses on farming, because thats the most important thing in the game. secondly, nidalee is bad in teamfights. she has to be able to go in, nuke their carry, and retreat to heal.

THEN when the death is avoidable, he goes in for a kill.

@abohnsen19 i never said you should go in the middle of all of them, i said nidalee is great on picking of people in the jungle. but you are right in how to play nidalee, spear throw to get them low... than nuke them ( most likely a squishy carry) when safe.

@stunninghKm he's got a hero very capable of escaping so it's okay to chase. I play Olaf, and my mate plays Xin Zhao, my ulti makes me not be able to be slowed stun nothing, that combined with Ghost and I'm out of there, noone can stop me, and so I can chase but my mate obviously can't due to lack of escapability in case shit goes down. It's all about which hero you play dude.

@stunninghKm I think there are really great players lower down on the ladder, capable of leadership, with great micromanagement, tactician skills and map awareness, along with a humble confidence and good sportsmanship but they just don't have the team or the time to invest to get to the top.

@stunninghKm I'm not sure if that comment is directed to this video, or him in general, but the reason he does that in this video is because, one, I think he is most comfortable with this champion so he feels he can escape certain situations with his summoner spells and having nidalee's fleeing abilities in general, and two, if you watch him play a carry or a tank you will see the way he plays is completely different from the way nidalee can and should be played. And he's also pretty hi ELO.

How come he still has 482 gold after buying the sapphire crystal at about 5:40? If my calculations are correct, that means the sapphire crystal only cost 270 gold.

@RFOrange7 If you look at the minimap at 5:40, you'll see that HotshotGG's teammates are fighting the dragon. If the dragon got killed around the exact time he bought the crystal, HotshotGG would have lost 400 gold but gained 130 gold from the dragon, getting a 270 gold net loss.
