@GnosticReality Ok, I recently read that Dhikr Beads according To Shaykhul Islaam Ibn Taymiyyah and Al Faqih Muhammad Salih al Uthaymeen are not bida, But it is better to use fingers, because they will speak on yamul qiyama, dhikr beads has a base in the sunna, but it is sunna to use fingers. Read the Works of Al Hafidh Al Albaani on Dhikr Beads, He gives good reasons why Dhikr Beads should not be used and why we should use our fingers. Why use beads when we can use fingers (which is sunna).

1) A Shaykh appointed him as a Shaykh because of his amount of knowledge. How else do people become Shaykhs ? Ijaza etc.

2) By the way he is also the one who went to fight Jihaad in Afghanistan, but left because the 'Mujahideen' were killing Muslims as well.

Beware of newly invented matters for every newly invented matters in worship is deviation (Hadeeth)

The prophet (alayhis salaam) used to do dhikr on his right hand.

I read it. It says the word " kullu " is the " strongest particle" to mean " every".

The word kullu was also used in another hadith: kullu ^aynan zanaya.

which means: Every eye gazes the look of an adulterator. But we would have to exclude the eyes of certain people like the Prophet's, righteous people, etc..

so that point is invalid.

Second, the example I mentioned differs in at least 2 of the 6 matters mentioned: time, and manner of performance.

@ignoranceisbad - So when Allah said in the Qur'aan 'Kullu nafsin dha ika tul mout' , every soul shall taste death, he meant 'some souls will taste death. The word kullu means every. and can you plz give the reference and the full hadith where the Prophet Alayhis salaam said that .

@StickyCurry He is a well known caller to Islam in the west and has recommendation from Shaykh 'Ubaid al jabiree (of saudi) and the Mashayikh of Kuwait and other Scholars I may have failed to mentioned. He is also one of the Brothers behind the website spubs(.)com website and other affiliated websites. I think He studied Islam with one of the Scholars in Kuwait, although I am not 100% sure which one, maybe somebody can come and fill us in in cha Allah. That's all I can think so far.

@StickyCurry I presume you're referring to the Afghan dialect. I doubt He speaks any Pashto. He probably speak Urdu, having come from Pakistani originally. I also believe that these so-called dhikr-beads are bid'ah as stated by Shaykh Al Albaani rahimahullaah ta'ala. My guess, and Allaah 'azza wa jall knows best, is that they may have been derived from the Christians (Catholics to be precise) who use their rosary beads to count their prayer to Maryam the mother of 'Eesa 'alayhi salaatu wa salaam. I hope I'm wrong about these beads being taken from the Christians because that is an imitation of the kuffaar wa iyaadhubillaah. Jazaaka Allaahu khayran.

@IOnlySeekTheTruth By the way the only reason I know about these Christian rosary beads is because my father is a catholic and he keeps those accursed rosary beads used for praying/supplicating to Maryam at home, may Allaah 'azza wa jall guide him.
