For the people who support gay marriage- this is a nation under god (Christianity)- America was found on this religion- In the bible being homosexual is a sin and therefore should be wrong in America to. BUT in my religion (Christianity) God loves any homosexual as much as he loves me. We are the same. And who am I to judge them for if I do I will be Judged. Although I do not support gay marriage directly... everyone has the right to the purist happiness as long as no one is harmed.

I am of the same stance as Arnold, ""I"" Believe that marriage is between a man and a woman and its a sacred union, HOWEVER my will is not supreme and I would not want my will to be imposed on others. Gay couples should be allowed to choose for themselves what is best for them. @karlito5757 Males and females can procreate IN PRINCIPLE, and that's what sustains the institution of marriage in the first place. There are of course circumstances where males and females can't necessarily procreate. Gays however can't even procreate IN PRINCIPLE.

I agree with Josh Farmer. The gay marriage debate has divided our country in 2. We can resolve this issue just getting the government out of the marriage licensing (permission giving) business. The "government-free marriage"movement looks to do just that, get government out and resolve the issue. Support the governemnt-free marriage movement and support resolution and more liberty for all Americans.

a government recognised marriage, without the religious involvement of the church is probably what should happen, but with that in mind then isn't the idea of marriage from that stand simply just a label attached to an already exisiting "civil partnership" (although to compare, it is severly limited by law and credit when compared to current marriage)

I'm not religious at all but i would never tell a church they must marry a gay couple, if they dont want to. Do you want to tell the churches they MUST change their ways to accomodate for people that aren't part of their congregation? I think it's amazing that he can feel one way about the issue, but recognize that others should be able to practice regardless of his own personal beliefs. Jeez - almost every politician says marriage is between a man and a woman. Just go for civil unions and then fight to have them made equal to marriage under the law. People are too radical, some are totally against, others totally support, but few people have a balanced opinion.
I'm never going to discriminate gay people, but no longer support gay marriage. The person who convinced me is Frank Turek, author of the book The Future of Marriage. He is not against gay people at all, but he doesn't approve gay marriage for very good arguments he spoke. Search in Google "Frank Turek - Gay Marriage: even the liberals know it's bad" and you will understand.

Liberals are just as capable of discriminating as republicans, its not about political parties or religion its about human rights. Some people can lose their accent very quickly and some can't and he just happens to be one of those who can't lose. So give him a break; and like I said, your English is not perfect either. and......for any gay people reading this..... especially younger gay people.... let me assure you from scientific research, THERE IS ABSOLUTELY NOTHING WRONG WITH BEING GAY! IT HAS NO NEGATIVE EFFECT WHATSOEVER.
From a family structure point of view......out of the numerous kinds of families (father/mother, single parents, foster, adopted, extended, homosexual, step family, divorced)
not ONE of these has been proven to 100% work over the other.

The video poster is an idiot. Arnold CLEARLY states that he is AGAINST Proposition 8 which means he believes same sex couples SHOULD be allowed to marry. He says "my view of marriage is between a man and woman BUT I don't believe my views should be enforced on other people." He also says he thinks the supreme court should and will overturn this hateful proposition.

Jeez - almost every politician says marriage is between a man and a woman. Just go for civil unions and then fight to have them made equal to marriage under the law. I'm not religious, a straight dude, and I don't have anything against gays per se, but I don't think two guys a marriage make. I don't think the term should be redefined for a small 3 percent minority, and it doesn't have to be, for the rights to be conveyed. It's a traditional term, ya know what I mean?

We really need to find a cure for homosexuality. There should be more money spent on this research. If there really is a gay gene we need to find it and eradicate it from the face of the planet so we won't ever have to deal with homosexuality. Stop supporting gays! The only positives that homosexuals ever contributed to society is the positives on STD tests. They should be isolated from the rest of society and studied by scientists and psychologists to find out what exactly is wrong with them

Spending money for research on "finding a cure for homosexuality"? That would be a complete waste of money. Using propaganda would be wiser. Homosexuality wasn't as rampant before the 70s.
