The #10 Egg cans only have a 2-5 year shelf life not a good long term investment for the price. After opening any #10 can put in an oxygen absorber before putting on the plastic lid to preserve the food longer.
@marlin187 Expensive you say? What is the lives of your family worth? How economical do you want to be when the lives of your family are on the line in an extended collapse/disaster/emergency scenario? Short term store supplies last a few days, or a few months IF you prepare. Canned goods only last up to a year. #10 MH cans last over 25 years. They are the ultimate in long term food survival preparedness. They also serve as great supplimentals for shortages mixed in with other foodstuffs.
@marlin187 What other options that are less expensive that last as long? Please educate us. Sure you can can-food every year to prepare, but what happens when there are store shortages, your livestock dies off, your crop doesnt come in, & resources are all bought up from other sources? To me preparedness is not about the money. It's about survival insurance. Sure, you want to save money on short term supplies where you can, but spending some scratch on long term survuval is a fantastic idea.
@Proffesorpwn We will go to my folks cabin in Wisconsin. Wisconsin has an open carry statewide but some sheriffs still say they will cuff you up in their counties (mostly major cities).
@MurderByFluoride - LOL - yeah that's the famous "aussie bush" of which you speak ;-) I can report from the front "line" that it's not all bad brother. There's enough brazilians around 1 in 5 maybe). Are you telling me that the girls state-side all keep the hedge neatly trimmed? Happy daze. Turn your charm on i'm sure there's an aussie girl out there 4 ya. What skills you got? You can get an extension to visa when you work on a farm
dont you think with a big tin you would expect it to be full to the brim, all iv seen with these tins is nearly empty content from new, more empty space than contents
@MurderByFluoride No NWO in Australia ya reckon well just google Canberra Design and see if you recognise anything that may appear a tad ...illuminati. Let's not forget while we are at it, that OUR Reserve Bank is owned by the Queen. Any NWO links there do you think? Yes Freemasons, Rosicrucians and Fabians abound in this country my friend. Why do you think we enjoy such a high standard of living? My state of "Queensland" has the maltese cross as its emblem FFS. Get the picture?
@MurderByFluoride Crikey you are an angry man....perhaps you need some fluoride to chill out a bit. Indeed mountain house have said as much on their website (one google search is all it takes buddy ;-). Oh and i'm in Australia anyway so can you tell me where i might find M-House products here should I want them?
i just bought a 6 months supply of moutain house for $1200.00 us online 60 cans total and all packed within three months... plus i bought a few cans of bacon an eggs at gander mountain.. so no shortage

I eat the eggs and bacon, when I am out in the woods. I think the are pretty good. I was trying to order some cans from there site and they do not have any available at this time. They will sell you packs but no cans at all. I went there a few weeks back and the shipping was a long wait but now none available at this time. Kind of weird I think but maybe someone order them all who knows. Thanks for sharing and now I am hungry because of you lol.
@FreemanOftheMind You know they mention that on there site. Something like the rumor going around the internet is not true or something like that. Check it out, it has been a couple weeks since I went there. thanks
@EastCoastPrepper Yeah man they are still saying they will not have any cans for months!! And ther attempt to dispel rumours it is due to govt clients (although that don't flat out deny it either).
Quote" We want to clarify inaccurate information that is being said (in media). This situation is not due to sales to the govt domestically or internationally. We do sell products to this market, but we also sell other market segments...We expect this situation to be necessary for several months!!
That looks pretty damn bad
