@matthewmartinx They can't do this in a film. It is an original Broadway musical, and you can't even play more than 3 or 4 of the songs at a recital or something. They protect the rights to the songs-ALOT.

However due to a lot of discussion, planning etc. it's on hold the now apparently. But they think it will be released in 2014?

Instead of talking about Wicked on Broadway, they will be talking about Wicked the movie, and people would probably want to go see that because its alot cheaper instead of the real musical and it could lose lots of money.

I met my best friend because of Wicked. He was reading the book in Theater Class and I told him that I loved that book and asked if he had ever seen the musical. He said yes his two favorite songs were Popular and Defying Gravity. I told him I love those songs and we bonded over that. ^_^

Saw this in London on Louise Dearman's closing night. A-MA-ZING. The hairs on the back of my neck stood up. I have this version playing on a loop on my iPod but Rachel Tucker/Louise Dearman will be forever engrained in my mind. Simply mesmerising. I turned to my friend as the lights came up and we were both sat frozen with shock at how unbelievably brilliant it was.
