Made Respect To You Homie. I Can Only Imagine How Hard It was For You To Track Down The Samples And Put This Vid Together In A Way That show How Its Put Together..
rene & angela really sampled rod stewart's "da ya think i'm sexy". in fact rod stewart's song was released in 1979 and rene & angela's one was released 2 years after (1981).
There's still music made entirely live and with no samples...check on youtube: superpaolo: mr groove..no samples there, just musicians and its so so funky
I've absolutely fallen in love with Cassius and I'm curious about the 2 other samples in Nulife...also, I have a quick question about the song 1999. I know the sample and everything, but I wanna know how they make the sample sound "scrambled" at the beginning and end of the song. know what I mean ?
HOW ON EARTH DID YOU FIND THAT POKA SAMPLE? That is something unbelievable. I was expecting '900 Degrees' by Ian Pooley, mind-blowing to find out that sample. When I recover from this bout of sickness (stomach virus, ugh) I will do some more Poka sampling breakdowns ('Heartbreaker' and 'Party In Me').
I already knew about the Linus Loves sample, great to hear it broken down.
The Kano/Kavinsky sample absolutely blew my mind. The way it's integrated with the synths is amazing.
Funny story. I had found and tried sampling "I Love You More" for Free Samples. It didn't work out. Yesterday I was cruising around Myspace, and I landed on Poka. I figured I would listen to 1987, and recognized it immediately. :D
I was surprised to find out about Kano/Kavinsky too. (Thanks, again, Boba!!)
Also, I'm pretty stoke right now, because I just found TWO more samples in Cassius's "Nulife". If Ishkur worked for me, I'd submit them. I will make an update video for it though.
Some of the greatest inventions came from mistakes. Maybe it's the same for samples and jokes? :P I submitted one with Michael Jackson's P.Y.T. and Carl Carlton's Bad Mama Jama.

IMO, Welcome 2 Thee Lite is way better than Linus Love's The Terrace. Same sample, sounds so much better.

Yeah, they both sampled the same track. It was also sampled in "Disco Police Dpt" by Mike 303. I dig the Ian Pooley track most though.

I forgot, there is a song called "American French Machine" using 2 or 3 samples from "Loleatta Holloway - Love Sensation"
That may be interresting to do a video on it ^^

Love what u do DJ Evil, that's insane!
the first song "I love you more" is also sampled by a french rap band "113 - Jackpot 2000" (ok it's not house ^^)
You certainly know the song "wrath of zeus" by The Eternals, i'm sure that the sample used is the beginning of "Musique - Keep on jumpin'".

I'm thinking it's just a coincidence. It was just a joke. That's not a replayed sample, that's a similar melody.
