I believe the blue coloring comes from a dye put into the resin bonding the carbon fiber strands together. I've seen The Veyron SS in Carbon Blue in person a couple times and I must say, I don't think I've ever seen a more beautiful color.
actually its a composite of carbon fiber and kevlar for the color blue right? as far as i know carbon fiber its only black and to colorize it they need kevlar (aramid fiber)

VW has put a lot of effort into making sure the Veyron is seamless and just because I don't like it it....at all, doesn't mean its bad in that respect. I don't think its hard to drive. SSC was very serious about making that point. No owner will ever really take the Veyron to its limits. Which means the other $500,000 is basically going towards showing off. And admit it, the Veyron isn't very attractive in appearance to begin with. Silent too

This is the best looking Veyron they've made yet. The blue accented carbon weave with those wheels are excellent. The front and rear end treatments look nice even though the car looks fairly silly to me, but will always be much better than the EB110S ever was.

its just for rich people with ZERO taste. Jay Leno has the largest private collection of vintage Bugattis and even he refuses to ever purchase a Veyron because its just made for oil Sheiks.
The only true Bugattis are the French ones. Not even the Italian EB110 counts, and neither do the new German ones. Sorry. If VW won't race it, the Veyron will never stand shoulder to shoulder as a collector's item.

@Riles07 I beg to differ. This is a work of art. 1250 HP in a car is an AMAZING feat to hold. And your statement about the collector's item=race car... That's completely wrong. The most expensive car in the world-Bugatti 57SC Atlantic-was a true, French-made Bugatti and is valued as the #1 collector's car ever. Did that race? No. How about more modern, like the Ferrari Enzo? That didn't race either. Or the Lamborghini 350 GT? Also didn't race. Similar to the Veyron, they're still collectibles.

@CarsandCoffeeIrvine I didn't mean to be a jerk, its all an opinion as I'm sure you know. VW has put a lot of effort into making sure the Veyron is seamless and just because I don't like it it....at all, doesn't mean its bad in that respect. I suppose I'm having a hard time letting go of the days when the top dogs were the McLaren F1, XJ220 etc.
I do feel people like the Veyron and its sister models for the wrong reasons; the fancy price. I would take many less expensive cars over it any day.

Veyron maybe is for oil Sheiks, but who cares? I don't care for who car is, but how good car is. Veyron is an ingeenering masterpiece. Everthing is where it should be. There are cars that are faster and cheaper than Veyron (9ff GTurbo 1200, SSC Aero), but that cars are undrivealbe. There isn't such luxuries like in Veyron, they don't have such technologies like Veyron has. And it isn't a big deal, fitting 2 enormous turbos to engine.

@Barcafanpl69 I believe when SSC broke the Veyron's record the first time (yes there's already a new SSC prepping for production) it was done on a 2-lane public-grade highway with an 80-year old driver. I don't think its hard to drive. SSC was very serious about making that point. No owner will ever really take the Veyron to its limits. Which means the other $500,000 is basically going towards showing off. And admit it, the Veyron isn't very attractive in appearance to begin with. Silent too

SSC owner had said, that there wasn't any TC, ESP ect, because he wanted to make a "drivers car". This is the best looking Veyron they've made yet. The blue accented carbon weave with those wheels are excellent. The front and rear end treatments look nice even though the car looks fairly silly to me, but will always be much better than the EB110S ever was.

i would take this car only if somebody would give me for free, but even if i was welthy i would never pay more than 70K for any car. thick about man 2.7 mil seriously it is fucking car dude, not worth that much, now if that shit would resist any impact and you couldnt brake it at all and it came with rocket luchers then yeah maybe :) but otherwise not
