  • chorus sounds like ruby tuesday

  • Haven't hear this song in 35 years. Thank you so much...

  • good song!! can anyone please get me the mp3 song but not of the live version???

  • My mom had one of his albums and this song was on it, it was my favorite. Brings back good memories.

  • I love Roger Whittaker, but I don't think this is one of his best He didn't sing enough folk music.

  • idd fuck that indian bitch

  • Where's The Gong Show when you need it?....that guy looks like a child molester....or the creepy old Vietnam Vet that tries to hit on all the waitresses at Chinese buffets...

  • Haters like the rat ratkin who dont understand the story behind the song will forever puke stupid words, but this is a tribute enough to a love that couldn't be because of racial divides. Sing on old Kenyan boy! cant you people discern poetic language?

  • Is she a "lady" or a "child"?. He can't seem to make up his mind...

  • @siasti Its an Indian Lady, a child (as we all are children if the universe) of Indian descent, its a tribute to an Indian girl he was in love with in Kenya but couldnt get married to because of racial divides between them, her parents refused to give the consent

  • @siasti haha. We are all (or at least I am) children at heart.

  • @WildAlaskanBlossom Check out Roger's Das Lied von Aragon (Song of Aragon). It's in German but I'm sure you'll like it...

  • Nice to see someone actually singing and not miming. From the year I was born. *hugs Roger*

  • Superb baritone !!!

Thank you, pbamse, for sharing a very nice video. I came to know Whittaker on TV HITPARADE during my stay in West Germany in '70s and an ardent fan since then. Thank you again ☆☆☆☆☆

  • This is an omnious song. Sung very well but the

lyrics sound like they were written by a vampire.

Suck the life out of something fresh then move on. Very well might be the way of the real world!

  • RATkins must be very young. The character in the song is clearly heartbroken but must answer the call to help destroy the evil threatening his homeland and people. No greater love has any man.

  • @GANNAMEDE Hi I'm 20 but I know that the reason he (roger) had to break up with his girlfriend/love is because she was indian and he was white. Her parents would not allow them to court each other anymore. This is so heartbreaking.

  • @WildAlaskanBlossom Actually my comment was meant for his "Last Farewell" song, don't know how it wound up under this one!!!

  • @GANNAMEDE sory about being petty. lol. I agreed with your comment though. You should repost it under the last farewell!

  • Have to dig up my "Reflections of Love" vinyl and get it on CD! Thanks for posting this, forgot how much I liked his singing.

  • pbamse, thanks soooo much for posting this lovely song! I've been looking for it for years with no luck! Probably the best slow ever recorded! I stand collected!

  • I'm glad you like it.

  • yeah, ive looked so much for this. couldnt find it either! just ran a search not actually expecting to find it!

  • one of the best songs which we can hear now ,thanks

  • I have been looking for this song. Thank you

  • Does anyone know what year this is from? Looks like mid 70's but not sure.

  • I found it..its from 1976.

  • I have been searching for this for a very long time. Thanks for posting this. Good job.

  • What a great entertainer. Top shelf, and appears to be a fine family man, and gentleman. May R W live another 50 years so future generations can enjoy him.

  • i totally agree he;s my favourite singer .

  • great one; thanks for posting this

  • I'm glad you're happy.
