  • the lamp of the future :P

  • what kind of material is it made from?

  • Gas powered Light Bulb?

  • @NickCesar Yea dont even respond to him, he's been trolling on my videos too. I would have deleted the comments but its such a good example of why children shouldnt eat lead paint chips. Apparently he thinks you are somehow affiliated with me because you built one of the engines. Dont worry, the joke will be on him when hes tens of thousands of dollars in debt and flunking out of college :)

Hope everything's going well over there!

  • It looks like you could make a flash steam generator with one and run an steam engine.

  • @BlakeMason2 There is a large amount of research on direct injection of water into jet engines for harnessing waste heat for the sake of steam production.

  • now put your hand to that!

  • can those things melt?

  • put your hand on it....lol

  • dare u to stick ur tounge on it :P

  • will it crack if peed on it?

  • Its not 2,500 degrees xD Steel would melt at thouse temperatures. Its about 1000 - 1100 degrees. You need high quality steel at this themperatures.

  • He might be talking in Fahrenheit, in which case it's about 1370C. That sounds about right - if I remember things right from the viking-style iron smelting I've done, you move into the whiter yellows around 1200C.

  • thats a heck of a night light lol

  • how hot does it get?

  • From the way it is glowing, I would have to say at least 2,500 degrees.

  • :O thats mega

  • about 3000 farenheit

  • very hot hot!

  • the Germans used them (much bigger ones) on jet bombers.

  • Also don't forget the V-1, which was an early cruise missile.

  • thats a dumb question

there is fuel exploding inside of the engine

  • that thing is red how

  • ... Well if you heat up metal lots and lots it glows! That's stuff you learn at 5 years old mate.

  • if you ever want to make one for your own it would be a good idea to get a metal that is brittle and less flimsy, the worst thing you want is a hole

  • Pour liquid nitrogen on it while it's at full blast ;)

  • Or give it a blast of nitrous! :)

  • Nitrous isn't flammable, it only aid in the combustion process. I'm not sure if it would work to well with this application.

  • it would probably explode from contraction

  • Hey NickCesar, sweet pulsejet. I know a guy who put one on a bicycle once with limited success, but we were looking into putting one on the hovercraft. Think a pulsejet is a good idea for us to use?

  • Pulsejets use alarmingly large amounts of fuel very quickly. The amount of fuel required would make this a very heavy option if you want to run it for very long. They are also extremely loud, my pulsejet makes about 20lbs of thrust at ~123dB, or as loud as a 1000cc roadracing motorcycle with very little "muffling" at full throttle. The thrust produced by a pulsejet is also at a very high speed and using it for a 20-30mph hovercraft would be very ineffecient.

  • Lame, alright thanks. We followed the plans for our thrust engine to the letter and it sucks the big one. Definitely needs to be bigger.

  • On the other hand nick, AWESOME JOB MAN! Haven't seen you round much on "The forum" hope all is still well. That was really a sick TP180, and I'm glad you really got it thumpong hard. Verry NICE!

  • Yourpersonalgod, your incessant trolling of other peoples videos, without any knowledge of what your talking about is down right becoming unbearably annoying! You claim to know so much, but OBVIOUSLY DON'T KNOW A DAMN THING (AS YOU POSTED VIDEOS TO SHOW THE WORLD YOU DON'T KNOW A DAMN THING)Would please refrain from posting any more needless crap. To quote "I built your ramjet for you" and " I built one 100% bigger..." You are the most BS 12 year old I've ever encountered.

  • Toakreon YourPersonalGod is a total moron who goes around trolling and spamming various pulsejet/ramjet videos. One look at his videos and you can tell how big of an idiot he is, like his "ramjet" rc car that basically has a soup can with some sparklers in it. He has done a lot of trolling on all of Irvines ramjet videos, personally would mark all of his comments as spam.

  • So let me get this straight.

Nick Cesar tells us this is his pulse-jet runs on diesel and posts a video of it doing so.

You, however, say "diesel doesn't burn like that" which means what, exactly? You're claiming Nick Cesar is a liar and a fraud and has posted a fake video?

I personally suspect Mr Cesar has good reason to feel deeply offended by the implications of your statement.

  • Sorry, I posted this as a comment when I should have posted it as a reply.

  • Not knowing this engine or fuel system I still think I might suggest answers to your "problems". Pulse-jets are often STARTED on Propane before switching over to liquid fuel - which, I suspect, might well explain the Propane tank. Secondly if you atomise diesel well it will indeed burn just like that in a valveless pulse-jet.

  • First off, I'd like to announce my delight in being able to communicate with such a divine being, but unfortunatley you seem to lack any real knowledge in what you are talking about. All an electronic injector allows you to do is open and close the injector via solenoid, useful only where an intermittent flow is required such as in a piston engine. Also, 100% times the size would mean it is exactly the same size....

  • if you were smart enough to read the video the video description you would clearly see that it says " The propane is for starting and warming up the engine," and diesel does not need to be compressed to burn it just ignites at a higher temp then say gasoline or propane. using a oil burner nozzle is a very effective way to to atomize diesel because after all furnace oil is very similar to diesel ALONG WITH JET FUEL.

  • why is it doing that

  • Awesome job on the liquid fueling!

  • how did you get the diesel atomized enough to flash burn like that?

  • oil burner nozzle and a 6bar fuel pump, plus propane pre-heating.
