My mom gave me a copy of this last year and I just got around to reading it. Parker may have been correct in his in his reasoning about Wendal. The N.J. police completely botched the investigation from the get go! I say this in all honesty, not just becuse Parker is a distant relative!

Get real. Hauptmann had the money. The note matched his handwriting no matter what you say. He stopped worked at the time and cloroform was found in his garage. Obviously he was planning another kidnapping. Too many other facts to list. Not everybody who's convicted of murder is a sweet as you think.
