Well even though prohibition made the alcohol illegal, I don't really consider that a bad thing.  Now though, and even in Capones time, as he was getting older, legitimate business men made much more money, and were building the towers around Chicago, when Capone had to hide his money, and he probably didn't have as much.

That is true. People that sell illegal goods though can definitely make more money then the average business man. But ultimately if you are legitimate, you are in the right place and have potential of making more if you put your mind to it. Selling illegal goods though isn't as bad as taking over businesses of legitimate people, or incorporation of a mob tax in construction in NYC.
