I bough a TT-01 type e stock i upgraded it with bearings an aluminium drive shaft a ezrun 13t system , the yeah racing conversion kit and that 3 racing graphite chassis i still dont know if im missing anything??
can anybody help me i have a tt01 and i upgrade to brushless motor and also the ESC, i also bought a pinion gear 24/25 t. Item #50477. but they are to big. i dont know if you have upgrade the pinion gear on your car but can you help me out and tell me which ones are the right size, thank you
you should hav got a set of shock towers! reduces the flex the standard 1's have and there lighter and easier to modify!. and a anti roll bar for front and rear. but cool chassis!
pm me if possible and tell me what was inter-changeable from different chassis. and what you would highly recommend.!
i read how "tt" was meant for beginners...now i was lookin to get this car n was wonderin if that is in fact tru.. I wanna be able to do the hop ups n what not n fix this thing up n switch it up wit new bods n what not ya kno? I mean the vids i seen it seems it really aint beginners, i see alotta people fixin these things up...lemme kno please ty
what is with all the tt 01s that are ment to be hopped up all this alloy and carbon shit isnt needed i have one all i have done to it was put a 3t brushless set up in it and it is great my would kick ass in a race i have pulled over 50 kms h/r on drift wheels and could you tell me the name of the song and how you made the vid (what program)
@ThePlatinumrs you don't really need to be protected from the dirt with on road racing. Plus if you clean it every time you run it you don't need to worry. That chassis saves weight if start adding stuff you just ruin the point of the chassis.
Not all of it is TRF at all. I can see the TRF shocks but the rest looks like 3racing chassis kit and some 3racing alloy parts. Hardly any TRF to be seen.
Tamiya TRF don't do a blue alloy driveshaft or blue alloy heatsink for the TT01. The steering linkage is 3racing or GPM and you can't actually see inside the ball diffs.
I was wrong about the shocks though. Looking at them again they are not TRF as I first thought - they are GPM.
I get the same problem with my hpi sprint 2. If you have had the car apart lately. Fiddle with your ackerman setting. Sometimes it gets messed up during a teardown rebuild.
Meh it's a tt-01. It's never going to be a "high performance" chassis. I modified mine with nearly every available hopup, even stealing bits from an E kit when applicable. I ended up tossing it because when I received a TA-05 lexus as a gift I was just amazed. I doubt you can even call your car a tt-01 anymore, it barely uses any of the original kit anymore. But seriously, spending that much to make a budget chassis marginally better is just silly.
well that is true. i just think he could have bought a ta05ms for same amont of money he spent to tuning the tt01 and they is still a lot of plactic onlike the ta05ms but its still a good car
a Kyosho TF-5 costs in ebay less than 200€ Im sure that upgrades in ur TT01 cost more than 200€... you can say wat u want a TT01 is not better than TF-5 Stallion...
o ya u wanna see a impressive tt01 i only have oil dampers ball bearings n alluminum shaft n differnt eletronics n motor come race me n see wat happens superbobberd chinkmaster u car is pretty sick i no u can kick mine neday wat motor u got in urs
the graphite conversion set is from mainly either ebay or 3racing (look on google). When i got it, it cost me about 40GBP, and i felt it was worth every penny, the car feels lighter, more rigid and looks fantastic.
it looks gd n steers fine.. wait till u accidently hit sumthing like my friend did, the whole steering gear snapped. After i saw that i bought and installed one staight from tamiya. Have a look at the steering set from tamiya its far better in my opinion.
I agree with what you say from the tamiya set... I have it myself on my TT01D, and it steers like a dream, and it's strong. But the friend of mine with the gpm set always drives on a veeeeeeeeeryyy big parking lot, so he never crashes.
u should really change ur connections from the standerd tamiya to the male/female connections with high performance motors they overheat and melt happened to mine when i first got my tt-01
the trf parts are mainly just the trf dampers/suspension and the main shaft but thats is really a TB evo 4 lightweight aluminum shaft not the normal one, u can tell cos it has a 'tamiya' logo on it
everyone has their own level of high performance, it depends on what you want drag or drifting! if i wanted a proper fast car i would of installed a mamba motor and esc. and what has wires got to do with it? most of those wires you see are for my LED system for my car! and it aint even messy, so you can SHUT THE HELL UP!
@supersanchez1991 the spur gear that would be good for the 24 and 25t is the 55 and 58 spur gear

wow u got 3Racing Carbon Chassis already but Kyosho TF-5 Stallion is cheaper than all that tuning parts and its better
sharingan180185 3 years ago
A) I Got the 3racing 'Graphite' Chassis roughly when it came out
B) You can't just say you're 'Kyosho' is cheaper and better (better than what?, at drifting? drag?)
C) You don't even know all the tuning parts i have in that rc car

Those are TRF (Tamiya Racing Factory) Flourine Shocks. Tamiya sell them for $83US - but you can get them much cheaper elsewhere.

some are heavy, ugly and are easily broken
basically there unreliable, 3racing and offical tamiya parts are far better.

The tt01 Steering set of a friend of mine looks good, steers bloody fast and is fine...
We had to install a few ball bearings though.

everyone has their own level of high performance, it depends on what you want drag or drifting! if i wanted a proper fast car i would of installed a mamba motor and esc. and what has wires got to do with it? most of those wires you see are for my LED system for my car! and it aint even messy, so you can SHUT THE HELL UP!
