This film never really worked. I think it was a combination of miscasting and various songs being dropped from the Broadway score. By rights the film should be a winner. As it is, it's only 'so so'.

@Dianaemanuel - Agreed. One regret I have is that I never got to see (either because I was too young or I was too poor) the original Broadway versions of classics like "G&D." I have a DVD of the original cast recording, which I treasure, and which I prefer much more to this version (even though I like it enough). It's too bad they can't film the Broadway productions and show them at a later time, after their run is over.

@mike93345 Sky is the character who doesnt believe in love, and the fact that he fell in love with Sarah (a kind of uptight, christian woman) he is extremly shocked. So when you sing Ive never been in love before sing it with some confusion but at the same time sing it with some joy, the only thing the Sky is embarresed about is his real name :D
