People are still upset about something that happened 5 years ago by a different dev team and still blame SOE and the current devs for it. However neither had anything to do with it, what's funny is that SWTOR will be exactly what they hated about that. Anyway it won't die out and if anyone should be blamed for NGE happening it should be LA.

Is there even a good setup for the N-? It's got 65k mass, and unless you have bad shields, slow engine, or horrible guns, it's not that great. I prefer adv x-wing or Vaksai.

Depends what you prefer, Interceptor ships are fast and hit hard but get blown out at a few shots. I prefer being fast and a small target but it's all up to what you prefer. The Advanced X-Wing and Vaksai might have more defences but they get hit a lot more often than the smaller ships! :)

If that's your style though then that's up to you! I like the N-1 but I use the V-Wing these days now, they have just a tiny bit more mass. :)

@louisjonck Yeah you can fly from planet to planet, you hyperspace while in space to reach another space zone but need to talk to a space station in order to land. :)

No you need to interact with a space station, unfortunately the developers weren't smart enough to think that it might be best to add space to the game upon it's release. Space is effectively another game inside SWG, though the new dev team are trying to make the two interact more with each other. I hear that we'll see a space update next year which supposedly involves the Galactic Civil War and taking over zones for either the Rebel or Imperial faction. It should be fun but we'll see!

I'm hoping they won't make the same mistake with SWTOR but I doubt it. They look to be falling in line with the mistakes that SOE and what Blizzard did with WoW. It would have been brilliant if you could land yourself on any planet but you can't, in SWG you have these terminals you use to access your ship and so on. You could say that it's a flat version of what it could have been, although SWG is quite old and at the time they might not have had the ability to program something like that.

I think, SWG, today, would need an upgrade on graphics, nothings wrong with the old, but better graphics would be great, though already it is one of the most detailed online games ever, it does keep home to thousands of items, ships, starfighters, weapons, and on and on.

@Rodimus1138 True but it isn't impossible, as the footage from the cancelled battlefront 3 shows. :) Maybe SWG can't have anything as complex as that but it could certainly get an update or two to make things a bit more intertwined.

@brageyboy yeah but the main difference between the cancelled Battlefront 3 and SWG is that SWG is an MMO so there is far more information to load such as creatures other players and the gigantic landscapes

@Rodimus1138 With todays technology it wouldn't be far off from the battlefront 3 stuff, didn't mean it would look exactly like that. atmospheric flight is possible though. So is a bunch of other stuff that SWG lacks like a proper collision system.

@brageyboy Well there's alot SOE could do to make SWG a better game, like fixing some glitches, collision detection and alot of things they could add to make it more like the star wars films. Personally with everything they've added and fixed I think that SWG has improved and become far better since when NGE first started and even through I miss the old skill tree I do still enjoy the game and I would love to see them add in atmospheric flight and manually landing on planets

Aye feel the same way, would have preferred they used one of the tanks for the Rebels or made up some new art to make a walker for the Rebels. I hate how it looks, in the GCW invasions it's dirty and gritty but it's going to look all clean and nice for the Empire Day rewards.

@brageyboy Actually I'm glad the AT-XT is showing up again and to me it makes sense that the rebels would use abandoned experimental clone wars walkers but I go more for imperial things myself and I'm glad they're making more vehicle walkers like the AT-ST and AT-PT

For neutral pilots you need to go to Bestine, go into the hotel and talk to the neutral pilot leader. :)

I solo'ed one the other night. The trick is to get very good missiles. it took me 9 mk IV proton Torps. I'm pretty sure the mk IV are master-only though, so you may wanna use a ship with 2 missile tubes. Don't use image rec. They lock fast but do next to no damage. Another trick is to use the jesf with 2 tier 7s and weapon overload 4. You'll rarely get hit, and you can take down the systems quickly.

yeah i agree with the jsf but the problem is getting chased around and finding the right angle to hit everything, plus fitting 2 good teir 7's on a chassis that can only hold 90k is pretty hard but then again i have a kick ass sheild system and fast engnes so thats probably taking up the space... its funny that im talking about a jsf when im currently flying an ARC-170 lolzors

Ah well you can buy it anywhere from other players, you need to be a neutral pilot to fly it though. It's under the exotic ships in your pilot profession wheel. :)

Ahh sadly not bud, they talked about letting us get the AT-ST at the Fan Faire. There is another walker in the files called AT-XT which hasn't been introduced to the game yet, some speculate that it's going to be the Rebel version of the walker which might be something to look forward to! There is a GCW update coming around the corner so it should be fun to see what they come up with!

When you level piloting you see these various boxes in the profession window. One of them is called Exotic Ships or Exotic Chassis. You basically need to level your way almost to master pilot. It will take quite a while and require a lot of patience on your part, it's not the easiest thing to master unfortunately.

You can buy it off a player crafter, it's pretty cheap. You need to be a neutral pilot and have exotic ships I think.

Oh aye! Came with Chapter 8, along with an Imperial Star Destroyer Instance. Quite a fun patch, there was a lot of other things. There is three gunboats as well which are just massive. It's great stuff really.

i soloed everything by now with it, ISD, Vette, 3GBs together, Rebel station you name it i even can great PVP with it,

Aye it's a wonderful ship. I use the same equipment as I used on the N1 but now I use a V-Wing. Got about the same speed, a bit less since the wings go out but mainly I base my ship around the weapon and the PYR on the engine. In this video I have a normal crafted weapon which is decent but it doesn't really carry a lot of firepower. Now I have a purple bolt which looks great! Carries a heavy firepower though it has a lot of mass :S I think 30k mass.

Yeah it's fun, depends on what you like. WoW would be a typical MMO, since the standard has changed but SWG is more of a sandbox game. You can own houses, decorate and generally have more customization options. You should make sure to get on the right servers though, some servers are suffering from low pop now that we got some free transfers so if I were American I would go with Starsider, if you want to go with a Euro server. Euro-Chimaera would be your choice, hope that helps! :)

Hrm unfortunately I don't think they do, I actually made an effort to get the green blaster bolts on mine. They're crafted and do less damage than the RE'd ones but it looks like it does in the movies. The ones I use have the sound of the TIE fighter blasters.

I'm a Reb Ace myself, still haven't gotten good, anything for it... I personally like the Hvy X-Wing, yeah, me and every other pilot. Interceptors don't really appeal to me much, not my style. I like the X-Wing's balanced stats, and good weapons capacity. And the Naboo, or as I'v head some call it the "Duck fighter" for it's colors(that are unchangeable), starfighter just isn't my cup of tea, if I may use that expression, I haven't really tried tea, Geez, I can ramble.

Weird... was sure I replied, well I can't access my character right now. My cash flow is currently low but what you need to get is the collection parts. You can find collection parts looted from space ships, you then get like 10 of those parts to eventually get a schematic to a good part. You'll want the mark IV Engine and I used the experimental blaster. Green, I also have droid commands to make everything more powerful. I'll let you know the stats when I can get back on my character.

YAY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I FINALLY FOUND ONE ON STARSIDER! (my server of course) but only one problem its the chassis blueprints for one and its selling for 246,000 O_O EXPENSIVE! and what exactly do chassis blueprints do? i know that guy in the starports needs some so he can build you a ship but do you need to give him rescources to build them too or what... and if you dont have to give him rescources blueprints are better cause you can make them over and over again!

you buy the blueprints and talk to the chassi dealer in the starport, he will then make it into a deed if you pay him which you can use to get a ship into your datapad :) best of luck to you!

how do you be a neutral pilot? i've tried talking to privateer pilot outside mos eisley cantina but he appears to be invisible lol and are you sure you have to be neutral for it?? cause i am rebels right now and my favourite all time ship since i saw it in the movie theatre when it came out when i was 4 was the naboo star fighter :D

Aye unfortunately, I jumped from the Rebels to neutral to get it. Bloody bothersome grind but well worth it! Wonderful ship, you need to make sure is that you leave all pilot squadrons first then you can contact a neutral trainer, there is one in the Mos Eisley Cantina, one in Coronet Corellia and one in Theed Naboo. The one in the Mos Eisley Cantina is the easiest one, just go into the back room of the cantina and you'll find him there. If you still have trouble finding him, just ask around.

Aye, it is a good ship but it depends on the ship parts you use. You can make the N-1 into a real nice killing machine and it isn't regarded as a I-Win ship so people won't trash talk you if you PvP in it.

Depends on what you want to do, I think any interceptor class ship is great for both PvP and PvE. Harder to equip though, interceptor class is all the small and fast ships like the N-1 here. :)

It's a cheap ship, this one was free for me but it goes for around 50k on Chimaera could go up to 200k perhaps. Just buy it off the Bazaar or from a Shipwright but you need to be a neutral pilot to fly it.
