People tend to group with like people, witness the Germans in Wisconsin, the Swedes in Minnesota, the Italians in South Philadelphia, and in more modern times Laotians in the doughnut/fast food Chinese business, Vietnamese and Russian immigrants in nail salons, and so on.

  • People love the costumes which were made from lab materials that were damaged in a water leak. They couldn't be used to do experiments - so our creative grad students and post-docs used them to communicate that scientists around the world persevere through problems to make discoveries that really matter. Gotta have some fun. These guy are good scientists and Dr. Zhang is an amazing leader with a sense of humor.
