on this jet ski look at the bottom and its all black. that small silver peice is where it sucks in the water

bamitsjacob.. if your serious then look at the bottom of a jet ski and they are the same as stand ups. they have an intake grate in the back the waters sucked into and the impeller pushes it out. its like a hollowed part of the hull in the back with a cover on the bottom and the water goes in then out but if rocks or sticks get in it then you might need to buy a new impeller

@shitfacedcockmaster8 the engine is made with VERY waterproof parts. Most jet skis have an automatic bilge pump the pumps out the water. There is also alot of ventilation to the engine.

@footballjag well nothing on a engine is waterproof, there sealed so water dosnt enter, same with air, air is only allowed in at certain parts like air intake on a carb, but and engine isn't "waterproof" just water resistant, water in a engine will damage and destroy it in a matter of minuets

I have a 440 and a 550. Rode a 650. These are 1100cc dont be fooled, the tricks are not that hard if you have a 1100cc ski....but its cool to watch.
