  • name of the song at the beginning?

  • i wish i was black from the waist down

    /sadface

  • Well, that sucks.

Just saw that my replies are down below and not showing as a reply to a reply.

    yarg.

    Sorry for the quad-post bs.

Anyway, when do you start work at Williams Street?

(The only thing I can complain about is the audio equalization between music/voice/SFX)

  • @KickFrenzy

Working for a company like Williams Street would be badass.

Also, I'm aware that the sound editing isn't the best. Understand that the original three films were very much rushed, as I was always working under really tight deadlines. I'm working on the fourth film as I type this. It's going to take 10x longer, so that I can perfect everything.

  • You lost me with the lazor show part, could shortened it and it still would have been hilarious. But then you won my heart back with Joe Lieberman. Fuck that guy.

  • hello mister caterpillar...

    YOU'RE GONNA DIE

    *LASER EYES* XD

  • I really like the cartoons, and you can completely disregard my notion, but wouldn't you get your message across better if you paced your comedy out more evenly, for example, the laser light show was intended to fuck with people, but wouldn't it have been funnier to shorten it slightly and have a reason to go into that? I mean i really like these, but it seems that sometimes the video drags on for a while without much humor or anything and then plunges back into hilarity. Maybe its just me.

  • I don't wanna sound like a troll, but the laser show during the middle when it zoomed into your eyes seemed just a little bit dragged out. And that one kid is a major troll. (the one on the left) (who's not Gregg) and umm.. I thought your steps were quite ingenious other than the third :D Your quite funny Jack and I'm quite proud to know your brother :P

  • @karatemon52

The 'laser show' was supposed to be that long. It was designed to fuck with people.

  • @CapnJack222

    Epic pause, man.

I cracked up a few times, during that pause alone, when I first watched this.

  • @CapnJack222

  • @CapnJack222

are you sure is wasn't a 2001 Space Odyssey allusion?

  • @42CWG

It was a Space Odyssey allusion. That clip is pulled right from the film, but it's purpose was to fuck with people for an extended period of time.

  • i fucken cracked up at 2:05

  • Eye lazers ftw!

  • BEST 8 MINUTES OF MY LIFE. EVER.

Also, I think 21 people lol'd so hard they couldn't see the like button, I fail to see how anyone can not laugh their face off at this.

    Well done.

  • @CapnJack222 And your school kicked you out and got the police involved because of these vids??? So much for freedom of expression huh?

Stick to your guns - when they try to take away the right to say "fuck", we lose the ability to say "fuck the government" (or something like that!)

Good luck from the UK ;)

  • I don't necessarily condone killing caterpillars, but at least it was quick.

Crass attempts at censorship are actually a good thing - it keeps the assholes out in the open, where we can keep an eye on em.

  • Lmao. the teachers and other fucking retards that suspended you should be themsevles fired by the charter. These videos are interesting and funny to say the least.

  • george carlin is a gr8 comedian, bordering on prophet. he is a truth sayer, unabashedly putting it out there. i love to see his influence in the work of others. some frameworks that have helped me make balance in my world r permaculture, spiral dynamics, RC( . org),NVC, humbleness, honesty, and love over fear. i share these things with you only because you responded and seem open to dialogue. i like to make it known that i see through the fear pushing and choose love and non-judgement.

  • it would seem you are trying to stick your rebellion in the face of boring meaningless soulless indoctrination structures that so many of us suffer through and have our free spirits crushed under...is this an accurate projection? prime computation? my next inevitable step of logic would be to say that you have successfully replicated that system of mindless and pointless and soulless banter. maybe this has helped make some self-aware, but you certainly havent improved upon conditions. more blow?

  • @lovewillsetusfree

I'm not trying to save the world at the moment. Understand that these were originally just simple short films designed to add comedic relief to school projects, and that is what I accomplished. I can admit that I've always been a pseudo-hippy, adhering to the sort of rebellious mindset that comes along with listening to 60s rock as a kid, but in this situation, I'm not trying to openly 'rebel' against anything by choosing to stand ground on what I know I have the right to do.

  • @CapnJack222 nice job man, that's pretty cool of you. you seem open minded and intelligent. i myself am only 22 and i know a lot about how unfulfilling the school system is. and i was raised with television culture. i guess where i am coming from now is looking for raising awareness among my human family. this can often involve chaos, taboo, rebellion, destruction just as well when old frameworks are dysfunctional. like we have now with the collapse of our cultures value memes.

  • you have been brave and courageous, and others could find example from you on how to disrupt dysfunctional systems, such as the public education system and nationalized totalitarian government structures...they will likely however lose all positive gained through the stupidity of your drug induced and obviously delusional ideas of what is funny. well, i'm sure there are more bored and frustrated students out there (as i once was) to revel in your shitmaking.

  • you know, you could actually have interesting or funny things to say. im not against you by any means. and im sure it was fun to make and think of these things. however, by my standards you are far from witty, far from funny, and relying too healivily on the shcok value of swears violence and drugs for comedy, which to me arent funny or wrong. i suppose this appeals to you, because it is looked down upon by those who have authority over you. so, truthfully, good job pointing out their hypocracy

  • @lovewillsetusfree

I can see how it'd be drivel to a lot of people, mainly because I don't try to follow along the primetime-tv formula of 'good comedy,' opting instead to use the more 'random and nonsensical' humour that has emerged over the past few years.

I take influence from everything, from George Carlin, to Adult Swim, to the evening news. Some people find what I say and release funny, and some don't. It's all fine by me.

  • Australia Approves.

  • how boring the world would be without black people.

  • Only slightly more amusing than the other two... but at least people are watching and throwing the G-word around. That must be an ego boost.

  • Have I ever told you that I love you.

  • My chi is now balanced.

  • Oh no, you made a reference to a boring part of a film (never liked that part of 2001.) Lol, sadly that made this boring. Yaay having fun making silly school projects. Boo being suspended for fucking around.

  • @sylkates

    You should probably try 'experimenting'

  • Fight for your rights or they will be taken from you for your own good.

  • @ 5:38 is when that meth hit thing ends lol :D

  • Jack can I be your Boy fiend?... Jks no but seriously, can u autograph my boob

  • They suspended you?? They should've given you a friggin medal! Jealous bastards

  • I dont really care about your rationalization for using swear words to "effectively eliminate the... ridiculous taboo of sections of our own language" (lol, whatever. fuck fuck fuck.), I would LOVE to hear you rationalize why "killing black people" is funny. By your logic, it sounds like you would like to joke about killing all black people because that addresses social taboos against certain forms of expression. Except you're just spouting intolerance/mild hate speech without context.

  • @jyb88

Understand that these films were written for a 17-18 year old audience. However, I do like to infuse a bit of genuine intellectual commentary into the jokes, however dark they may be. I wrote the 'platform' of my character because no logic-minded politician would ever support it. In addition, the 'space odyssey' clip was put in as a satirical reference to politicians often employing a tactic of figuritively shouting 'HEY, LOOK OVER THERE!' whenever they make a statement that backfires.

  • @jyb88 Why isn't racism funny? It's a taboo, and makes some people uncomfortable. The fact that he doesn't explain and says it with an air of nonchalance makes it even funnier. You have to chill, dude.

I liked the part about Sweden. Untapped ass...

  • lol funny

  • @CapnJack222 I think you would have to be high to enjoy this. However I think you have a right to submit it and not be unduly persecuted for it. The videos are retarded, illogical and seemingly pointless having nothing to do with anything.

  • @RulerSupreme1988

That's why you would have to be high to enjoy them.

  • I suppose the "Baby born under the influence of mother high on acid" psychedelic segment might explain a few things :P

  • Kid you got talent and issues.

  • your comedic timing is improving from episode 1->3. Keep at it.

  • Wow, the constant cursing made everyone sticking up for your free speech inspired for sure. Just once, I would like to see free speech defended for someone that has something intelligent to say.

  • I nearly cried with laughter at the use of the 'Monolith Music', fucking genius.

Keep it up man, I look forward to seeing what else you come up with hahahaha.

Oh, and the school board thing? Yeah, they're not all that bright are they?

  • There is a line missing somewhere in the Bible that says, "and God created comedy." For comedy is always rooted in revealing hidden fears. And as with everything, you can mock the fear or you can show how to gain courage. But to gain courage you must first have faith in your own answers to the question: how do we, as individuals, step out of the nihilistic trap and act as we want the world to be?

  • I liked this video and your response to the board. I see influences from early SNL, Bruce, Carlin, Python et al.

One problem you have is that your biting references to American/global corruption and politicians are not understood by most Canadians and even Americans.

Further, while you rage at the virtual machine and make interesting videos, what else are you and your friends doing to help change the world besides contributing nihilism?

  • I love this stuff. You got a new subscriber!

  • Reminds me of life as a teenager in the 70's in a park setting with lot's of drugs and alcohol. It's the brazen side of life that we seem to forget we were in the middle of when we reach adulthood.

  • Jack Christie, you are a god damned genius, no matter what everyone who knows better says. I applaud you, sir. I hope one day to see video on the evening news of you walking away from your school board asploding and you not flinching, just looking real bad-ass and stoic. Maybe with some kind of laser weapon on your hip. And a spunky, diminutive ro-bit sidekick.

  • Ok this is far from perfect, even far from good, but it's on the right track, I just want to ask, who should play Cristie in the Live-Action adaptation, Johnny Deep or or Weird Al?

  • @rgzdev

Russell Brand. That guy stole my personality anyways.

  • I found this lol worthy.

  • I like the Stanley Kubrick homage in the center of this film. I'm sure it is what he would have wanted to do when he was 18, if he had had the ability. Of course, back in those days, the documentary clip of nuclear blast effects would have been taken seriously, instead of the obvious ironic meaning employed here.

By the way, I agree with your analysis of Senator Lieberman, and I have met him personally.

The National Film Board should pay you to expand this into several different, longer films.

  • alright that was pretty great. im all on board jack.

  • Jack,

I fully support what you did. I don't know why your school is being so lame (and this is coming from an attorney). Hopefully the courts and/or common sense will prevail. Whatever you do, don't give up or give in. You are in the right here. People need thicker skins.

  • I demand Jack Christie 4: Jack Harder.

And yes, it would include exactly what the name suggests.

  • PLEASE POST MOAR

  • lol what did I just watch

  • Love the 2001 part.

  • FUC-K THE SYSTEM

  • Who is the person around @6:06 ?

I've found a facebook profile, but it does not seem to be person of public interest.

So did you ask this person, whether it's okay to be ridiculed in a video on youtube?

If yes, nuff said from my side.

If not, then I guess you would be the actual asshole.

I think there is a difference between ridiculing someone who is already in the public or to ridicule just a random schoolmate on the net.

  • @valioDOTch Look in the credits. "Special Thanks To Kevin Feheley MATT MANOL..."

  • @zezthenoobforpk yes, I've seen that, but uhm...I could put anyone in the credits of my film, without their approval actually. it says really nothing ;-)

  • Comment removed

  • @valioDOTch

Matt Manol is a friend of mine. These references were made back when these films were only shown in class.

  • i think my iq just dropped by 25 points after this series, lol

  • If Jack Christie were older and living in the United States, he'd be working with Trey Parker and Matt Stone.

  • Uncountable handpalms were put on foreheads during this video.

  • I really enjoyed travelling through the psychedelic Death Star.

  • Call me a sad retro Brit, but the "2001" section begs for the old-school Dr Who theme (google it, kids) complete with skittering-slither-in-a-deep-bucket sound effects.

*Captain* Jack Christie continues to kick ass. =D

  • @voidstorm you're a sad retro CUNT is what you are

  • As a new convert due to the publicity on the school thing, i like the style and especially the overlong pauses to piss folk with no attention span. Also good to see that the ripoff of 2001 was every bit as pointless as the original.

  • Haha, I love the south park mixed with monty python thing, good sense of timing.

  • Haha! Fucking great. The world needs more silliness :-)

  • Matt Manol is an asshole! xD Mike is more of an asshole tho. Bug eyed fuck.

  • thought majority of it was great , one or two parts were ummm a bit over the edge but keep on going man, you have talent, keep tapping into it.!!!

  • i love the 2001 reference. Keep up your good work man, all the school system wants is a bunch of obedient workers who will grow up working 9 to 5 and be excellent consumers, fuck em you're awesome.

  • MAKE MORE YOU PIECE OF SHIT

  • Best one imo, had to skip 2001, but other than that, fucking great.

The 3 steps, god damn amazing.

  • As a resident of Conecticut, I can verify EVERYTHING you said about Joe Liebermann.

  • @FascistLetterOpener

no kidding! Liebermann and that "C Word" Tipper gore is the reason Gore lost the election in 2000.

  • O.o

  • Liked it in general. Didn't like the '2001' part - but I didn't like that part of 2001 either.

  • I lost it when you said "man you really need to level out your chi or some shit"

  • Fuck off @uplaterandy, you verbose, condescending prick

  • You don't belong in school. Fuck 'em I hope you find a job that taps into your fantastic creativity.

I thought the 2001 sequence was a bit long - as it was in the original film ;)

  • Fuck the haters, this is gold.

  • hilarious. awesome. and made of pure win!

fuckin' hell i hope you continue down a road of creativity and comedy.

or hell, maybe even hit up the 'abridged' series scene! it make a perfect fit, assuming its even remotely in your interest.

ah well. i can dream! XD

  • That was awesome. Laughed my ass off. More then once.. So I laughed both my asses off. f**k the school board. You DO have the right to express yourself with this awesome comedy. Amazing how they dont see the creative aspects of what your doing. Just go to show how f**cked up our world is today. Your generation needs set things right. Keep it up.

  • SWEET JESUS! These are all so good.

  • The second you used the sounds from 2001: A Space Odyssey I knew I was in love.

  • Just found your three video in random youtube clicking, these are immensely funny and very disturbed in a good way. Thanks from England for the laughs

  • @uplaterandy

A bit ignorant, I'd say. I'm not trying to be 'edgy.' I made some cartoons with vulgarity and violence and whatnot because I thought it'd be funny. I'm not trying to impress anyone. I'm a tad bit too old for that sort of nonsense.

  • @uplaterandy

I don't believe there is any novelty. I've never considered 'bad words' bad per se, but rather built up to represent 'bad,' by ourselves. I'd assume that most people living in the western world use swear words as part of everyday speech, and that has always made me happy, because it shows that people are beginning to do the one thing capable of effectively eliminating the stigma and ridiculous taboo of sections of our own language.

  • @CapnJack222

I'm not a slave to 'four letter words,' which are exactly that, just four letter words.

I use swearing fairly liberally in the films simply because I'm probably just as sailor-mouthed in person.

  • @CapnJack222 I love you.

  • @uplaterandy

I'm older than probably both of you combined. Get over yourself dude. I bet you're a real fun person to be around.../sarcasm

  • @CapnJack222

Dude, you are awesome!!! Make more!

  • @uplaterandy ive never seen someone as skilled at talking out of your ass as you congratulations

  • @uplaterandy Why is it that a "well fed upper middle class kid" is not allowed to express himself by being "edgy", as you put it? You seem to be implying that having money means you will never have any problems, which is not necessarily the case. Furthermore, while a person who has had an easy life is certainly lucky, why should they be deprived of freedom of expression? It's not as if there is a finite amount of expression in the world...

  • Oh god, I laughed waaaaay harder than I thought I would when I read about this in the star.

  • Comment removed

  • YALL DONT NO WAT ID LYKE 2 B MALE MIDDLE CLASS AND WHITE

  • Youngblood, if I were at your highschool I would organize an alternate Grad without any admin interference and then tell the sad-sack stuffed-shirt motherfuckers to gobble their own anuses(anii?) like they were Tim Horton's doughnuts...Probably a bit late to do that but I imagine there'll be an afterparty or two...

  • so that is what a 70's LSD trip looks like.

  • That video reminds of those made by Jared Lee Loughner who shot a Congresswoman Gabrielle Giffords in the head several months ago. I guess that's why the school board called the police.

  • What is that song at the end?

  • @Scarie77

It's 'Going Down Blues,' by the Armada (Jeff Martin's new band after leaving The Tea Party)

  • Oh man, good stuff. You can thank Becca for giving me the link, by the way.

  • Lol LOTS of teens want to legalize EVERYTHING, lots of people LOVE Sweden women, MANY teens our age JOKE with our black and white friends about killing each other, nice "waist down" joke, loving the trippy colours and awesomeness, LOL Joe Lieberman thats so great!, LOL CATERPILLAR!!

Loving the videos man, they make my day so much better and happier!

  • senator lieberman *is* a dick. fair comment, there.

  • The implied association of Keir Dullea with cruelty to cartoon caterpillars is probably what's gotten you into a bit of trouble here.

  • @jordanthecat

    Oh clearly.
