@IKNOWAIDAN It does have some problems in low light situations, but as long as your lighting is good you can really push this camera to some amazing quality. Would I recommend it, yes. At the time that I bought this I considered it the best camera in its price range, although I havent looked at the prices of cameras lately.
@TylerSaysTV The word codec is a an abreviation of 'compressor-decompressor' or, more commonly, 'coder-decoder'. To help reduce file sizes uncompressed video is compressed using a codec. Different codecs offer different results in terms of quality and file size. Hope that helps.
That quality is just beautiful for such an inexpensive camera like the AG-HMC40 I'm considering buying this camera. :D Would you recommend it?
