@zipyzomo the F-22 was designed to eliminate targets from a distance. it was never meant to dogfight. it was made to launch a missile and use extremely advanced tracking systems to make sure the target went down. it may only take 1 shot to kill it, but your assuming they can hit so precisely, the first shot hits the fuel tank. if that's the case, any fighter would light up in one hit.

Listen mate that incident was a fluke. It was also only one incident. When I hear about tens or hundreds of Stealth aircraft being shot down even if they fly at irregular vektors, times and so on then I believe it.
As it stands it just means the Serbs where able to spot an error in the Yank's plan, they were then ready for the next pass of an F-117 (they never deviated from the flightpattern or schedule).

@zipyzomo the F-22 was designed to eliminate targets from a distance. it was never meant to dogfight. it was made to launch a missile and use extremely advanced tracking systems to make sure the target went down. it may only take 1 shot to kill it, but your assuming they can hit so precisely, the first shot hits the fuel tank. if that's the case, any fighter would light up in one hit.

US fighters lost around 80 planes, but Russia lost only 20 or so. You can see the report online or YouTube.. The test used real planes. F-22 appears very weak and that's why it isn't being produced now. It requires 30 hours of maintenance for every 1 hour of flight; cannot communicate with any other plane; stealth is vulnerable to rain; as all stealth planes, it is seen on radar as soon as pilot turns on his; short range, so enemy can hit bases with its missiles; poor turning, high cost
