my daddy's a boilermaker nearly every night he's gone on the night shifts i pray he comes home safely the most perilous job a boilermaker has is coming home tired from hours a work in the hot hell running up and down stairs getting this or that sure wears a man out weary from work and drive he comes home early in the morn when he finds the energy and time to call i was foolish and kept watchin tv now im older, times are too hard those late night calls are pretty much all i get til summer comes
