Stuart Baird directing Nemesis=complete suckfest. Not only had he never even watched an episode of Trek before directing this bullcrap, but also admitted to not even understanding the Star Trek concept. Guess what? It definitely showed! Special thanks to Rick Berman and Brannon Braga for almost irreparably damaging the Star Trek franchise.
@jerrynog I agree that Stuart Baird directing this film was a bad move. However you do not need to be a fan of star trek to make a good star trek film, Nicholas Mayer proved that and yes as controversial as it might be, the new star trek film by J J Abrams was a massive success and for me was an amazing film and went some way to repair the damage that Berman and Bragga did to Star Trek when they gave us Enterprise.
@monkeyhanger83 I hated the first 2 seasons of Enterprise, as soon as Many Coto came onto the production team in season 3 it started to improve, picking up pace and deeper story lines. Season 4 in my opinion is one of the best series of any Star Trek series ever. So don't get me wrong I do like Enterprise, just not the first 2 seasons.
@monkeyhanger83 Yeah the 1st 2seasons weren't great, I just liked the idea of seeing how the federation started and became the Kirk and then Picard era.
Going to be interesting to see how the new film prequels will go with the new timeline...
Actually, if you combine all three. Wars, Gate and Trek. It works. A bit. Because this is about when we were supposed to be building our ships and have warp.
And Star Gate is supposed to be now. Plus it explains that humans were taken all over the galaxy, maybe our Star Wars humans were forgotten by the Goul'd. Because that was apparently a long time ago. So its possible they just grew from there.
Its a rough fit, but they all kind of explain each other. They were still not intended to.
Craziest thought ever, the characters in Star Trek watching ancient Stargate, and hearing the references to themselves from the ancient shows and films
My inner geek just exploded with excitement

@Wharding85 Enterprise was great, just misunderstood and trekkies just wouldn't accept it. It was Nemesis that ruined star trek, it was awful!

Annoying, dumb, "cute" aliens? Hence why episodes 1 and 6 are the worst Star Wars movies. ;-)

@KryptoPal Yeah, the ewoks were one of the worst science fiction ideas ever

Actually, thinking about it, Star Trek is set in our world just far in the future, so more or less Star Wars exhists in the Star Trek verse
Stargate has Star Wars and Star Trek references

Heh, you never know, seeing the characters in Star Trek watch a 400 year old movie, Star Wars, would be so crazy.
I wonder if movies from these days will be remembered in that amount of time, most old old movies are kinda forgotten don't you think?
