  • @marvin8479 You need to download quicktime 7. The new quicktime will not let you.

  • every time i try to drag the music in it doesnt move at all?

  • Thanks so much, I tried both ways to import and did find an issue with the first way, however, importing with the conversion of Aiff was the easiest and least problematic path for me to import the music file into the timeline. Thank you so much for the million dollar fcp/itune file education.

  • Cheers mate, have a doco due soon so that was really helpful. Thanks!

  • When I open files in Quick time player and go to file, there is no option to export! So now where do you go?

  • @StitchWitchMagic same here, any update?

  • @JAWSHorTEASE Sorry, not yet, I wish though.

I have been able to use a converting site to change a youtube link into a MOV. file type and it has worked so far.

  • Very Good! Great Time Saver.

  • Hey homie, I have a jvc gy-hm100u and final cut studio 3 on my MacBook 15" and I been learning everything off of your videos. You really know your stuff man, and anyone who wants to know the perfect camera for final cut pro: it's the jvc gy-hm100u. Records to HD QuickTime video that is native to final cut pro.

  • Nice Video but i think it need more effects.. you can get nice video effects plugins and addons from aries-films file section. Just google for Aries-Films man.. pc

  • hey im having an issue, it didnt use to do this before but when i try to drag the music onto the timeline and render it it says "Cannot play, open itunes to play this music" or something and the thing wont go away

  • very helpful, thanks

  • Thanks you just answered my question with this video.

  • or you can just go to import and find the song

  • hey koo thanks bro

  • Thank you so much for mentioned the rendering thing! I've been trying to get my imported voice-over to play for like an hour--but now: mystery solved.

  • You don't have to open Quicktime. You can create an AIFF version from within iTunes, show in finder, then put it into you FCP project.

  • A million thank yous for you right now.

  • hey but i think you have to buy it ?

  • thanks for the video. just start using this tip..

    great job..

  • FCP/FCE not being able to take MP3s is just snobbery on Apple's part. Converting to AIFF is an unnecessary hassle. Naughty Apple.

  • Then don't use FCP.

  • dude thx man u got meh an A+

u have saved my life but i ask u dis, wats da music u use in de intros and by whom?
