  • I noticed that if i watch the entire video once, then just listen while I implement the steps, it doesn't matter that I'm doing it left-handed, altho I do have a left-y playlist of your videos. Great instruction.. I'm learning a lot here.

  • @RunninUpThatHillh That is a great suggestion.

  • Teresa, is there a LEFTY version of this???

  • @1VeganMom I don't think I have a lefty version of this. Maybe it is time for me to make a new version anyway.

  • can i do this this without using two pieces of string?

  • @mikacissej You can work with one strand of yarn if you prefer.

  • Awesome! Didn't have correct size crochet hook so turned out really tight and small but it was round. I am going to make some Christmas ones as soon as I can get the correct hook.

  • @CedarValley2011 You can still use the hook you have. You will work more increase stitches and increase rounds.

  • Can I use 1 string of yarn? Coz I only have a small crochet hook...

  • Great demo. I wonder however if in the third row, instead of doing 3 sc into one sc, would it make a difference if you do 2 sc into one sc, and then ch1?

  • Hi hun, If I wanted to make a round rug, would i just keep doing the 2 single crochet into every stitch until the it was as big as i wanted it?

    Diana xx

  • Thanx I guess that was it lol I tried it again and now I'm getting a better circle :) thanx a lot for ur help ^-^

  • Um... I think I might be doing something wrong... Instead of flat circles I make spheres xD... What am I doing wrong???

  • @jrdtennismaniac you may not be working enough increase stitches so the edges are curling up

  • i have that EXACT hook that i got from jo-ann fabrics!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Oh bye the way your videos are great i know it sounds funny but i'm only eleven and so i only know how to crochet scarves

  • @SuperGirls144 aww that's so cuteee i started at that age too =) I',m 26 now =)

  • I am so appreciative of all your videos, I've learned so much so thank you!!! Would it be possible to email me the video for the edging? I can't seem to find it. Thanks again for all you do!!!!!

  • Thanks so much! I am new to more advanced crocheting and I needed to know how to do the sc into each sc and 2 sc into each sc and stuff like that! You made it really easy.

  • @tenshinoshikatsu Thank you, I appreciate the comment.

  • @kellypinklily This would work but it is using two strands of yarn. I do have another circle with a single strand of yarn if you prefer that one instead.

  • @laurahenrycollection You are welcome! I appreciate the comment.

  • Thank you, that was so helpful. I have not yet crocheted in the round so this is exactly what I was looking for. I love that edging, btw. I have used it on several projects.

  • @ravenreed Sorry for the double post!

  • @ravenreed The reverse single crochet is my favorite edging. I appreciate the comment.

  • Great video. You explained this very well. I've been trying rounds, but just not getting it. I think this will be a huge help to me. One question if Imay, if I wanted to make the circle bigger, to make a dish cloth or pot holder for example, would I continue single crocheting twice in each hole for several more row to make the round bigger and then single crochet my last row? Thanks so much!

  • I love this pattern, could you send me the video for the edging please? Thank you for all your wonderful videos!

  • very beutiful i made one for my daddy's car

  • My favorite part in this video is at the end where you have a quick shot of the coaster in use. I would love to see your other projects posed as well :)

  • Most videos have the finished piece at the beginning of the video now. Did you happen to see the bear?

  • @tjw1963 I did! It's so cute. I'll give that one a try after I master... anything :P. My granny squares are pretty sad looking at the moment. Though I'm sure Salvador Dali would have been proud of them lol.

Keep the videos coming! You're awesome :)

  • This video was very helpful....could you please send me the link to the reverse edging too?

    thx.. :D

  • I need this also. Thanks!

  • Thanks for the video. I was wondering is this the Spiral Method you used to work in coaster ?

Is there any video you have done to work rounds with turning chains ? And I couldn't find the video where you demonstrated the edging for this coaster .

  • Thank you. I believe I used the spiral. I have many hats that show the spiral. I do not have a purpose for turning in a lot of my joined projects. I have worked with doilies that have turned so it may come up on occasion. I will send you the link for the reverse edging.

  • Thanks Teresa. I'm so much thankful for your quick reply. I got the video link for reverse edging, thanks.

  • are you using 2 strands of yarn of two different colors?

  • They are both the same. The variegated parts are aligning up different.

  • You're so talented, can I continue around just doing two stiches in each chain to complete a new row (5th, 6th, 7th etc.)and then continue again, and so on and so on to make a larger disk?

  • Thank you. You will need to modify the circle by evenly adding increase rounds, so it will lay flat. That may be an increase of 2 stitches every 4 or 5 stitches, every round to every other round.

  • if i continue going around...can i make it into a hat or no?

  • You can but you will need to modify it as you go so it will continue to get larger to fit a head. I have several hat patterns if you are interested. There are a couple of beanies, rasta cap, beret, cloche. Let me know and I will send you the link.

  • Thank you SO much!!! I am 31 yrs old and this is my 3rd time trying to teach myself how to crochet! I have been knitting for years but somehow crocheting just was always too difficult. YOU taught me how to make something!!! Now I have faith that I can learn more!!! Bless you!!!

  • i am a beginner intermediate. lol i am looking to make peppermint costers. it looks like the colors are twisted together. i have the directions and have made up to the 3rd step. I now need to add the red color. this is where i get mixed up and need a video clip of how to do this next part do you think you could help me? I can give you a copy of the directions. i think they are very pretty and unique. pls respond. thanks i will use this coaster until i get your response this is for Christmas.

  • I am sure there are a lot of other people who would love to see what you are doing in the form of a video. Unfortunately it constitutes copyright infringement for me to do a video tutorial unless I have full permission from the creator of the pattern. If it is a pattern online, you can share the link. Maybe I can explain to you want needs to be done. It also could be a crochet pattern stitch technique. Maybe one I already have posted.

  • Ohhhhh

    thak you

i couldent do crochet rounds and you help me alot

you have heaps of awesome videos

  • i was happy to find this one. i asked on one other of your video. if you can join these, to gether, my have 52 dc. thanks for your input.

  • You are welcome. Thank you for watching. :)

  • I want to make a scrap yarn ripple afghan..not sure how to start...do you have any easy patterns?oh...love your youtube channel! :)

  • I am going to do two ripple afghan demonstrations soon.

  • Sometime tomorrow I will have my original ripple demonstration back up. I had a verbal error that I had to correct. I do have two more ripple demonstrations planned but this one should help you out right now.

  • You definately have a knack for teaching crochet. It's great to know that the art of crochet is starting to come back as a favorite. Mum recently taught me how to crochet and I love every minute of it. Mum and I will sit to all hours of the night crocheting and having a chat and a giggle.

Your video's have really helped with learning many of the different types of stiches which are around.

Thanks for posting your wonderful and very informative video's

    All the best

    Wifflewaff

  • You are welcome. I am pleased that so many people are able to advance their skills in crocheting.
