  • Though people can be of very different opinions concerning war, I think this video is a real piece of art. I'm sure it took a great effort.

Thanks for this little piece of art between all the garbage on youtube! Videos like this keep youtube alive.

  • Wow. Just wow.

  • well put, carry on killer

  • I dont know how you cant 'get this'

  • more like dying at 15 on patroling in irak on an ''training acsadent''

  • garbage

  • This is beautiful, poignant, and exquisitely expressed. The passion that shone through the actors, both the singer, speaker and other "soldiers", was haunting and poetic.

  • Awesome vid. I couldn't hold back the tears as I watched. Fantastic work.

  • Its enough to bring back nightmares

  • i don't get it

  • Thanks you all for your touching comments...upwards and onwards.

  • ... makes you think

  • i know the guy who did the music for this =P

  • i've watched this countless times and it still gives me chills.

this is a very good video.

  • Hi Dave, just watching that short video i was so touched , it clearly shows that you feel what you are saying ,it is not just acting. In my opinion and iam not a professional critic ,iam just a regular person, you are very good actor. Hope to see you one day with an Oscar.

  • This is a very touching and thought inspiring short that is not only culturally significant but is something that need to be infused into the cultural dialect. In a time of turned heads and I-pods I'm glad that someone cares enough to make this.

  • Where are your legs that used to run, hurroo, hurroo

Where are your legs that used to run, hurroo, hurroo

Where are your legs that used to run

When you first went out to carry a gun

Indeed your dancing days are done

Oh Johnny, I hardly knew ye.

  • its actually NOT a "TWIST" on Johnny come marching home" its' the original version called "Johnny I hardly knew ya" in Gaelic not Arabic. This song was written about 150 years ago in northern Ireland and is an anti-war song, sung from the perspective of a damsel wailing over the loss of her husbands identity and physicality to war. It later evolved into "Johny come marching home" since Americans glorify gun culture and war.
