Great video. I am an Ohio State fan but Illinois looks very good this year, even better than last year. BUT Ohio State though might have their best team in almost 15 years this year. Michigan is not going to be good this year so someone has to step up. I hope Illinois and Ohio State both go into their game undefeated. That would be a clash!!

I wouldn't be surprised if Illinois wins the Big 10 this year. Mostly because how they played last year. Last year they didn't play like a Cinderella, a cinderalla team usually wins a bunch of close games and gets lucky, but Illinois manhandled just about everybody, including a blowout win at Minnesota, and was never blown out in the regular season, and even the Rose Bowl was a lot closer than the score. Hopefully Illinois gets another shot at USC but this time blows them out.

Easy, poor tackling and an obvious lack of heart and desire compared to Illinois'. I'll give them that, but don't kid ourself. Zook may get you some big wins like he did at Florida, but he will NEVER be a great coach. This has been proven.

The Illini are a team on the rise. Zook transformed Illinois from a team losing 56-3 at halftime to national championship contender Penn State at home on homecoming to a team going on the road and beating national championship contender Ohio State 28-21. The Illini aren't cupcakes anymore, I predict a 2nd place finish in the Big 10 and a top ten finish national ranking.

If anything, Ron Zook's tenure signals only that we're on the rise -- he recruited 22 out of the 24 players that simply outran Ohio State in the national championship game last year. Even if he's not coaching, we'll still be good.

You're right that our offense is built around rushing, but why throw when you can run over everyone? Also, keep in mind that Eddie McGee CAN throw, and you can bet that he'll do that soon...most notably to our future All-American WR Arrelious Benn.

Why throw when you can run? Iowa proved why today. If you only run and teams DO tackle unlike UW did, you will fail. You HAVE to convert passes in football. That's only been proven since the 1930s. Today Zook proved he can't coach, turning down two 4th downs and making bad calls all day. And just like I said, Iowa OWNED the middle of the field, and their offense sucks. Come back down to earth your athletics still suck.

Yes, Wisconsin has nobody coming in because all their scholarships are already handed out to stud players. Their whole team is basically underclassman. Sure, Zook can get a few solid recruits, this is no secret fact remains he CAN'T COACH. Wisconsin just didn't tackle, but the O was predictable. Two plays we caught breaks on? We put up 500 yards on your so called great D. Forget this junk about switching roles Illinois will never compete consitently and this is PROVEN. You're a joke.

Relax, I get it you're pissed we won. You'll get your shot next year at us. Just admit that our team outplayed yours in this game. Thats what happened. Same thing with Appalachian State and Michigan, Stanford and USC, etc. Those teams werent better but got outplayed, the only difference is that our team is as good as yours. If not for the 500 word limit, I would have said just that. We did get outplayed. I was there live, and I don't know if it translated through TV or not but Illinois clearly played harder than Wisconsin. But seriously, Zook still can't coach. He ran maybe 5 plays consistently the whole game and while it worked due only to bad tackling, it's clearly an offense designed for a QB that just can't hit receivers. I still think UW's the better team, but yes U of I played better at home.

Illinois fans have such a right to talk trash, since their team has always been so great. And I forgot your athletes there were perfect, except for your DUI getting BBall players. Illinois fans are great when their team is good. Any other time they shut up because they know how awful they are, but when they have a decent team, they forget how terrible their teams have been. Guess what, Wisconsin will always be a top football program and Illinois will always have their couple good years and fade.

Dude, wisconsin could very easily be 3-3 this year or worse. Citadel hanged with you guys, and you barely beat state come on. Face wisconsisn on there way down, and Illinois is on there way down. Wisconsin was good with barry alvarez and almost all these players on this years team are his recruits. They have nobody comin in this year. On the other hand Zook is one of the best recruiters in the country. I think wisconsin's and illinois roles are slowly switching in the big ten.

O yea and there defense sucks and there were two plays wiconsin caught huge breaks on. Beckums catch, he even knew he didnt catch it, and that fumble on the kickoff. That would have made the game 38-19. Thats pretty ugly.

I predict the Illini to finish second in the Big Ten, possibly ranked as high as #3 at the end of the year, depending on if they beat USC or not, and if they do, how bad they paste USC in the Rose Bowl.

I think Illinois' only losses will be to Penn State and Wisconsin and should finish second, ahead of Ohio State to go to the Rose Bowl. Penn State will lose only to Wisconsin. Ohio State will lose to Illinois, USC, and Penn State. Wisconsin loses to Michigan, Ohio State, and Iowa. Michigan loses to Penn State, Ohio State, Illinois, Utah, and Notre Dame. Iowa loses to Illinois, Penn State, Michigan State, and possibly an upset special at Indiana or Minnesota.
