Again, the gear was down completely, thats why the 2 sections of main gear flew off on impact.

Were did you get the 777? Does the cockpit and sound come with it to?

jet model is Meljet and the flight system is PSS 777. a lots of tweaking and merging to make those two work.

How did you get the landing gear to fail like that?

in real life, engines provide all electrical power and hydraulic power. if the engine fail, there will be no clean oxygen, no control , all power failure,lead to inoperable landing gear. and no aileron ,yaw, roll control, it will be fatal

In "real" life the Boeing 777 has a electric wind fan that pops out of the bottom of the aircraft in the event of an electrical or engine failure. I provides backup power to all systems and pumps. it would not be fatal.

yeah. it will NOT be fatal when at higher altitude, but BA38 was in a landing situation, too low for the electrical fan to work on time.

it's wind driven so it's soon as it pops down as long as the aircraft is moving it's working...

I know, but at that moment, even if it worked, the engine doesnt have enough time to spool up to gain thrust, it will crash anyway.

1- You can unlock the landing gear and they will drop by their own weight.

2- You can start the APU.

3 - if APU is not available 777 has an electric wind fan to provide power to basic instruments and hydraulic systems.

4 - There is emergency oxygen system to provide to passengers & crew until pilots descend to a safe altitude.

@GinoRc This happened in real life when the pilots where 1000 ft high and on approch not 31,000 ft high and cruising.

Aside from the fact it is evident you were not applying any thrust (which ofcourse I can understand), that was actually not that bad. You seemed to get everthing near enough right. The place of impact and final stopping place.

I,m making A Flight Ba038 video as well AtlantiXYL although I haven,t got British Airways on flight simulator, i,ll just use world travel airlines instead AND by the way nice video brilliand sound affects for the crash landing scene.But i have got a 777 IN THE GAME.

FS9 doesn't have any crash effect with the landing gear. it was not a recorded reply

That really quite good, shame the gear didn't show, take it that was a replay. Ive heard other people comment about the gear not showing when making a video from the replay.
