I saw one of their very first shows in a gazebo in a little obscure suburban park in Torrance where they--true to their name--had a big clock "onstage" that they used to timed the songs at exactly one minute. There was about 15 people attending!

After all the hard core punk and quirky pop songs from weird limey bands in the 1980's, the minutemen album double nickels on the dime was a breath of fresh air. I wore mine out in 1986 and later

1980's. Damn good stuff.

Awesome song. Double Nickels on the Dime was one of the best double albums ever made. Lucky enough to have seen them at a small Eugene art gallery show in the early 80s, almost nobody there.
